  1. Well while having a small discussion in one of the ANZAC threads it occurred to me that more than a few of us are Meteor virgins, never built a meteor kit of any type. So its simple the last Meteor single type was at the end of 2015-16. https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/forum/537-gloster-meteor-single-type-group-build/ The long/short is anyone interested ? Every kit and scale eligible and all variants including the prone pilot test bed 1. corsairfoxfouruncle = Host 2. @Andwil 3. @JOCKNEY= Co-Host 4. @mark.au 5. @TEMPESTMK5 6. @theplasticsurgeon 7. @Davek72 8. @franky boy 9. @JosephLalor 10. @zebra 11. @LorenSharp 12. @klr 12a. 2. Hello Everyone please feel free to post photo’s of any previous MiG-21 builds. You may include All variants of the basic design.
  3. Hello Everyone... Welcome to the MiG-21 Single type group build of 2022. This World Famous aircraft has Multiple users, sixty plus years in service, and a boat load of Camouflage options to choose from. So as for what exactly is eligible please see #3 below. 1) A 'WiP' thread for each model with regular updates showing your progress within the GB timescale is required. 2) All scales, mediums, aftermarket, and other goodies will be allowed. 3) This is “THE” list to go by. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Mikoyan-Gurevich_MiG-21_variants This includes all known manufacturers from Russia, China, Eastern Block, and Indian. 4) WHIF’s - Now as for the question of WHIF’s. I will allow a Whif on the basis of mockups. No paper projects. It should have had at least a 3d physical model for it to be acceptable. Whif’s based on non-users of MiG-21’s might be acceptable. The operator (Air Arm) in question should have at least operated some form of Soviet jet prior to and possibly post the Mig-21’s usage. Thus making it a plausible expectation. 5) Please keep comments within these threads civil & respectful. If you can't be nice then please be quiet. 6) If anyone has any issues please bring it to me or Modelling Minion (Craig’s) Attention. If this fails Enzo Matrix or another Moderator will get involved. 7) A gallery is available for the display of models completed within the GB timescale. Please limit the number of photos to five for each subject. There is also an inspiration gallery for the display of previous builds. 8. There will be absolutely No Buying, Selling, or trading in the threads. There are dedicated locations for this. Positively no exceptions ! 9) Please do not hesitate to ask questions about anything either myself or my co host @modelling minion will try to get you an answer as soon as we can. 10) Last but definitely not least, Please have fun finishing is nice but is not important. We want you to enjoy your time here in the group build. After all this supposed to be a hobby. Thank you the Hosts and Moderators.
  4. GROUP BUILD RULES AND REG’s. HOSTS Corsairfoxfouruncle Col. & Modelling minion Hello everybody Welcome to the Corsair single type Build. I know there was a Corsair STGB in 2016. I hope to repeat the success of that build. I am proposing any model of the F4U Corsair from the Prototype XF4U to F4U-7, including the AU-1(F4U-6). Yes the Brewster and Goodyear variants are allowed. They were after all license built copies with some of the own derivatives. Any Foreign operator of the type from the R.N., New Zealand, France, Argentina, El Salvador, and Honduras. From world war two to the Soccer war Corsairs. Any of the prototypes Like the F2G, F4U-3, or the Racers. This build begins on the 80th anniversary of the Corsair’s very first flight. A very fitting tribute to a great thoroughbred, that flew in many colors and roles for 35+ years. 1. All types and variants are included. 2. All Aftermarket is allowed. 3. All builds must be under 25% started with photo proof. You may build other kits that are beyond the 25% mark but they will not be allowed in the gallery or poll. 4. No Whifs or paper projects but prototypes and one off types such as Reno Racers are allowed 5. No Buying, selling, or trading in the build threads. As the forum location is closed for this currently I can only suggest Personal Messages or email for such activities. 6. Please do not hesitate to ask myself or one of the other host’s if you have questions for the validity of aircraft choice or build. I have a limited library currently (storage is inaccessible) but will do everything I can to answer any questions. 7. Everybody is here to enjoy and have fun, you do not need to feel pressure to finish a build just because time is limited. Its more about the fun of building to me. 8. A maximum of 5 photo’s of completed builds in the gallery please. No more as the gallery threads would start to get too long. 9. Provided we don’t cross the 72 build threshold there will be a poll at the end of the build for voting. 10. Last but certainly not least on behalf of myself and the two co-hosts Welcome to the 2020 Corsair Single type build. Again welcome from the Hosts
  5. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT SIGNED UP. THE DATES ARE 30th MARCH 2019 - 30TH JUNE 2019. Ok It covers the lineage from the M26 Persing/M46 Patton as in this Tamiya. If you're planning on doing a late war sherman in that group build you could do a M26 Pershing as a companion. Or if your planning on doing a Korean war sherman like the New Tamiya with a Tiger or Devil face like this. You could do an M46 Patton as a companion piece. They also wore the tiger face art. As shown in this Photograph. Or build any versions thru to the most modern versions of the M60 used by the Israelis such as this Magach made by Academy It covers all offshoots and adaptations in the Patton Family tree of Armor. Hope to see you look into it, even happier if you decide to join. Have a great modeling day Dennis * any photographs used are strictly information use. All rights belong to original owners.
  6. I found this website today, and I think many of you will find it very interesting and helpful for modeling projects. It lists an extensive collection of photos by the name applied to the aircraft- you can search by letter, A to Z; there are also photos of other variants of the Liberator, including the Privateer. You can spend hours and not see them all, but if you know the name applied to a B-24/PB4Y/C-87 you would like to build, you can look for it here. Enjoy! Mike http://www.b24bestweb.com/
