  1. I present to you the Academy MiG-21bis (MF in Academy`s own words) in 1/48, which I finished about 7 years ago, for the purpose of recovering after the Academy's MiG-29 in 1/48 (absolute agony of kit). I have nothing new to say about the model itself... Very good model, with a great fit and decent level of details, but declassified by Eduard's 21s. The color is HU127 and the decals from Lift here. I mixed the colors of the wheels but the green turned out to be much darker in the pictures than in nature. Fast paint job with weathering done only by the preshading technique. The plane itself is the one before the overhaul, which took part in some maneuvers in Yugoslavia (Šumadija, beginning 80 ... for example, sorry if I made a mistake) and my colleague AGO2 (from Maketarskikutak forum) gave me immense help because I had absolutely no idea about the plane itself. I presented it as if they had (and probably did) shooting tasks and therefore are 2 UB-16 launchers.
  2. Hello all Here is my latest, the Trumpeter kit of the An-2. It was completed using the Pavla resin cockpit and vac form canopy with the decals and scheme coming from the Lift Here Big Bipes sheet. The kits huge wing struts were replaced with scratch built items and the propeller was detailed with parts from the spares box to make a more accurate representation of the real thing. The rigging attachment points were made from spare etch seat harnesses and the substantial rigging from silver nickel rod. I think replacing the canopy has made the biggest difference as the kit one is completely the wrong shape. Overall I’m pretty happy with it and it was fun to do a biplane for a change. Hope you like it Although difficult to fit, worth doing I think. Thanks for looking Pete
  3. Hello everyone... This is my first finished build of 2020. It is an 1/48 Bf.109G10 from Eduard. I was given decals by another member to do it in Yugoslavian Air Force markings from 1950. I took a liking to the camouflage when I saw him build a similar machine in the 1950’s NATO Group build last year. I hope it meets with your expectations. Questions, comments and or thoughts ? Here is a link to the build thread if you're interested ? https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235062946-it’s-a-“yugo”-take-2/ Dennis
  4. Hello Everybody... Now that I've finished off a couple of other builds. I can finally start something thats months in waiting. Many months ago during the 1950's NATO/WARPAC Group build i had commented on a good looking build that Craig @modelling minion was building. It was a Yugoslavian Air Force Messerschmitt G-10, this one to be correct. Kindly he offered to send me the decals for the plane. He received them from a friend in Serbia i believe (correct me if I'm wrong Craig). It took a little while for me to get $ in my budget to buy the plastic for the build. My options were the older Revell G-10 or the Eduard kit. I opted for this Eduard overtrees kit. ⬇️ Here are the decals i will be using and i will be doing #44 as that is my favorite number. At some point in the near future i may actually build a second Messerschmitt as there are enough roundels to do more than one. Though it will have to be #3 the G-6 to be totally accurate. Questions, comments, and or thoughts ? Dennis
  5. not Warsaw Pakt, nor NATO, but still in here! , thanks to the mods and the rules, I am able to do a Thunderjet of the Yugoslavian Air Force within this GB! actually a kit and decals I sourced about 2 years ago, when during one of my out of the normal ways of thinking I discovered that Yugoslavia started of with quite interesting assortment of armament after WWII, although a Socialist country, it was throughout its existence more or less independent and sourced arms or licences for them all over the world..... a lot of effort was also put into their own industry and quite some respectable planes and capability came from that! for those interested, here some links: https://acesflyinghigh.wordpress.com/2016/01/16/yugoslav-air-force-combat-aircraft-1953-to-1979-the-jet-age-i-us-soviet-aircraft/ http://yumodelclub.tripod.com/history_of_yugoslav_aviation/thunderjet_f__84_g.htm Yugoslavian Air Force operated 231 Republic (R)F-84G from June 1953 until July 1974, first as fighters in aluminium/ natural metal, sometimes still with the US insignia, sometimes with Arctic high viz colors! in the late 50ies already they were seconded to fighter bomber duties because newer F-86E arrived from England (see also @Giorgio N 's build of an Italian example in this same GB!...) and started to receive camoflage so, my original intent was to build a camoflaged example... but that would strech my knowledge a bit in order to ascertain it was operated like this already in the late 50ies.. can sombody help out here with individual examples? I'd prefer photos....! if not in time, I will happily do a aluminium one the 2 decal sets from Lift Here fortunately provide options for both (Lift Here Decals) so, next issue, the kit, is slightly, really slightly only started I guess common sense wold say below 25% easily Revell- Monogram ProModeller Edition F-84G Thunderjet 1/48 LiftHere Decals US-Jets in Yugoslavian Service Part 2& 3 Batajnica Airbase 1954 on the left the later camoflaged version, on the right the unpainted one, also with nose art Batajnica Airbase 1954 the kit does not look too complicated, i also assume that I do not have to modify anything unforeseen! so there might remain time in this GB to to more stuff wait and see! thanks already fro your interest, hosts for hosting and please come up with input and suggestions! cheers, Werner
