Hi all so my next project I am undertaking is one I am very very excited to do. It is the Vickers valiant prototype WB210 conversion for the 1:72 airfix Vickers valiant. The conversion is made by a very talented person, I am sure people have heard of BritJet ( Steve ) it's thanks to him that I can make this absolutely beautiful valiant. I have made a start on this conversion, the first thing is did was to fill in the radome panel lines. the next step I did was to remove the U shaped parts just above the bombbay on both sides then after that I removed the vortex generators from the fin, then the fin intake and then I reshaped the two blisters under the rudder. I actually forgot to reshaped the top of the fin so that is next on the to do list.

Hi all I am looking for some vickers valiant experts on XD818 during operation grapple. The reason being is the airfix kit for the valiant B(PR)K.1 has XD818 with the second tail cone the one that's cut? I am trying to find out if XD818 ever had that tail and if she was in the anti flash white paint with the duller roundels, light blue serials and numbers and if she had the crew names on the side of the door or if Cosford added the names while she was at the museum. I am having a bit of a headache trying to find answers on Google and images of XD818 with the tail the kit is telling me use for XD818. Thanks Ryan

Hi all just something that's been playing on my mind for a while now. The vickers valiant prototype wb210 has very thin engine intakes, and i was wonder if anyone has managed to recreate them? Or if anyone knows of a aircraft with very similar intakes to that of the valiant prototype wb210? Thanks in advance Ryan

Airfix 1/72 Vickers Valiant BK.Mk.1 XD857 Built OOB, more atmospheric shots (and more V Bombers!) at the end: Stressful picture to take! The stand barely held the model add it didn't fit at all properly! In fact you can see one of the rods is just under the model. I did promise the complete V Bomber trio (sorry I don't have a Sperin to make the four... yet!). No nice backdrop on these images though, perhaps I'll take some more at some point... Here's the WIP thread ^^

Something I did a while back, doing the whole serie of the british V-force, Valiant, Victors and the Vulcans.. This is Valiant XD818, from the british nuclear bomb testing programme in the southers pacific, in the 1950's. (for the specially interested: https://books.google.no/books?id=6m43DAAAQBAJ&pg=PA24&lpg=PA24&dq=green+granite+small&source=bl&ots=Fx4Z2kkKWu&sig=OGjcdHoOfK_oJq1zQmBYxSfp0eE&hl=no&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwj9zeWfi43TAhXqHJoKHYrfCHQQ6AEISTAJ#v=onepage&q=green granite small&f=false) ........ and here's a very personal interpretation of the wiev from one of the Victors on the Black Buck mission against Port Stanley in 1982

From Alleycats' website, "As a sneak, there are new items on the way that include ...... hopefully also Valiant bomb panniers and Mk2 conversion" http://www.alleycatmodels.co.uk/ As a massive fan of this aircraft this is great news, it looks like we could now have two products to make WJ954 (and various wiffs!) from the Airfix Valiant kit. Would also be great to see a set that covers the proposed Conway powered production B.2!
