Gentlemen... I am after some advice please... I recently got hold of the 1/48 Brigade Models Tr.9 conversion.... and according to the instructions the 'donor' kit should be the Hasegawa Mk.IX kit... but this is not readily available or where I've seen one the cost was quite high which is OK if I was goint to build the kit however as I am only after some of the parts I was wondering id cheaper kits like the Revell Mk.IXc would be suitable as a donor... Has anyone made the Brigade Model conversion not using the Hasegawa kit? Thanks John

Hello everyone, I want to build a 1/72 Tr. IX, except I dont have enough cash to spend 35 quid on a tiny CMR Spitfire I have the Airfix Mk IX which i intend to convert. I know i need to move the front canopy forward 13.5 inches 1:1 scale. But my real dilema is comes with the rear canopy. I want to make the "inline canopy" or the "bubble" version but I dont really know how to do this. I havent got a vacuformer but I have thermoformed once or twice as a test however I dont know how to make accurate molds. Any tips on waht I should do? Are there any aftermarket canopies or anything that could be used? Thanks from a novice Ben.
