After the initial Airborne and Seaborne invasion, the Allies got bogged down fighting in the Normandy countryside. The bocarge that the Allies faced favoured the defender, the way the fields were laid out with high banks, hedges covered with trees. Enemy and Allies were operating either side of hedges some times without even knowing. Been a while since I've posted anything out of the Group Build area, as ive got a bit of time on my hands now thought I'd upload my latest project. A mixed unit stalking a Sherman Firefly as it travels up a French lane. My references, My work so far,
I picked this up yesterday at the Salisbury show, just after a nice slice of chocolate cake. These Tasca kits are a bit thin on the ground, this trader had 3 different Sherman kits. I'm building this one for my diorama "got a can opener babe". This is the second Tasca kit I've built, the hull is flat packed and needed to be built up. The pictures below are an afternoons work, I've had to stop of I would have probably finished it this evening.
