Well blow me down with a 500lb bomb, then pick up the bits, glue me back together and do it again! I dun did sum models! They're not what you'd call super-involved, or major projects, but I did a few, so I'm counting them First up, a Sumbarine. A Japanese Kaiten K.10 Mini Submarine in 1:35, which has started a bit of a "thing" about mini-subs in 1:35 for me It's the Mikromir kit, and I did a few tweaks here and there, as you can see in the WIP thread here. There are only three pics, so I won't include an RFI link: Next up was a figure. The first one I'd built and painted since my 20s, with one or two exceptions that included a couple of seated pilot figures. This was a Phase 1 Clone Trooper from the Star Wars game Legion, another game I like the figures from but couldn't be bothered to play the game. There's no WIP cos it's a wee tiny figure, but there's a little description in the RFI, which is here. Another figure, if you can call a box on legs a figure, again from Star Wars, GONK! A 3D printed figure, which was pretty good out of the envelope, and makes me happy that pretty soon we'll be able to print things at home just as well or possibly even better than we can current buy. Again, no WIP, just an RFI here: The next one was another Star Wars figure, again 3D printed of Cyd Scaleback from The Bad Batch. I've finished her, but didn't take any pics for no apparent reason other than I forgot I'll correct that when I've glued the end of her staff back one, which I knocked off because I'm a clumsy idiot. The WIP is here, which give an idea for now Next one is a pair of B1 Battle Droids, and yes you guessed it, more Star Wars figures. These ones from the Legends game again. Just 2 pics of these, but they're montages: Back to reality with the next one, and I didn't do a WIP because it was such a tiny thing, I'd almost finished it before it dawned on me Have a look at the review here, which is the closest you're gonna get from me it's a resin kit from Planet Models by Special Hobby, and it's called the HESA Shahed 136/Geran-2 (PLT279) 1:48, which is one of the drones the Iranians sent to the Russians for Ukraine to shoot down. Nice of them to allow the Ukrainians to keep their eye in The RFI is here, which has another pic and some jibber-jabber from me. The final one I finished so far this year (yeah, like I'm about to finish anything else!), is a Games Workshop creation, something that I used to paint back when I was a younger man, and the figures were made of white metal. 30+ years later, they're mostly injection-moulded styrene, with immense detail, so they must have some really talented designers This fellow is from Warhammer 30K, and he's a possible baddie, as this fella is one of the Warmaster's chapter, most of which betrayed the Emperor. Or something like that That last pic shows you how small they are. The RFI with some extra blather can be found here. My excuse for not finishing anything larger is that whenever I seem to start anything, the site gets extremely busy, and I get distracted, and by the time I'm back to it, everyone's finished their builds 😠Thanks for watching, Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year to you all
