  1. Hi there folks, here are a few pictures from my completed T-60 Gorky from Miniart. There are four versions that can be built, the one that I chose to build was the Red Army, February-March 1942. This has been a lovely little model to build which has a nice mix of interior/exterior. For this particular model I chose to do a winter white wash and then apply a little snow to the tracks, body and wheels of the model... Here are some photo's of the interior before I had added the top to the main body, just s
  2. Hi folks, just started on my next build which is the Miniart T-60 late series tank, produced by the Gorky Automobile Plant. This is a Interior kit consisting of 38 sprues, photo etch sheet and decal sheet. This looks like a nice little dinky model with lots of parts giving good detail throughout. There are four variants to choose to build from, the one that i will be doing will be the one shown on the box art which is the Red Army, February-March 1942. I'm going to attempt to do a white washed finish on this, at the moment i think i will use chipping fluid to do this and also use the fluid to
  3. Dear Colleagues Here is the Miniart T-60 Factory 264 kit. To my mind it is their most successful interior kit to date. It has the right balance of part number and fit to make it a really enjoyable build. Factory 264 was based in Stalingrad so production came to an abrupt end in September 1942. This factory pioneered the use of steel wheels due to the rubber shortage. Yes, the machinery and tracks lasted much less but then they did not expect a tank to last more than a day or so of combat at the front. Very different outlook to German manufacturers.
  4. T-60 Screened Plant No.264 Stalingrad INTERIOR KIT (35237) 1:35 MiniArt via Creative Models The T-60 was the result of the ongoing development of light tanks that had started well before WWII. This particular tank started development in 1938 as an attempt to replace the T-26, T-40, the failed T-46 project and the T-50. Whilst such a large number were produced, it was hated by all who had to deal with it – all except the Germans, who found it to be a substandard and underwhelming opponent, and a rather nice ammunition carrier or gun towing tractor, once captured. A
