Gentlemen As I am almost done with the Iraqi Hunter, it's time to post a new WIP. This one is second in line of the SyAAF next to the L-29. I thought of doing the one from the Ramadan war in '73... The kit is the old Kopro and during the years I managed to collect some aftermarket for it: Neomega cockpit and seat, Eduard interior, SAC metal landing gear, quickboost vents and such and Armory resin wheels. A few years back I did an Algerian Fitter, so no big surprises are expected... The seat looks great: the pit is also nice... After some painting... I've used IP decals from some leftovers, cut them out... I think it's better than I could ever do by hand... To make a BM/BMK out of BKL you need to remove some plastic. The BKL had skids on the landing gear so the wells were larger. A minor surgery... Quickboost vents are too small And that's about it for now. Stay tuned and thanks for looking in. cheers

Hi chaps Well it's time for another build and it just can't be too many on the work bench. It is going to be in Syrian Arab AF livery, just haven't decided yet in which type of camo, if not in NMF. The model is a well known Italeri repack T-6 Harvard. I've decided to add some Eduard PE to achieve a bit higher level of detail. Here it is... The plastic has a lot of excessive flash, a bit more work needed to clean it up but no biggie... The PE are older in brass color but just as good as the new ones... So, so far, that much has been done...cleaning the parts, removing thingies and replacing them with etched parts.. that's about it, thanks for looking in, stay tuned... cheers

Hello once again Besides my freshly started Iraqi Hunter, I decided to post some build photos of this wonderful kit I started earlier - the AMK L-29 This is a special build for a friend, the author of the Luftwaffe A.S blog. That said you already know it's gonna be in livery of one of them rare Syrian birds. The plane was in NMF carrying the flag with the eagle of Saladin on the tail with nose and tail painted in red. Besides some decals I also acquired the Eduard PE interior. But enough with the talk let's skip to the photos. The AMK kit -highly recommended, excellent details, great fitting, smooth surface, hard plastic, some PE included, nice boxing... The aftermarket... The only shortcoming of this PE set is the most common problem of all pre-painted Eduard sets and that is you can't switch the color. The Delfin's cockpit might also be grey, but judging by the photos of Syrian examples that could be blue too. So blue it is... I enjoyed working with PE The structure behind the flaps is nicely detailed with the PE included in the kit The fitting of the kit is great and can be comparable to Tamiya models more to come cheers

Hi all. This time I bring You an uniqe topic. This is an armed trainer, manufactured in Checkslovakia and flown by the SyAAF (syrian airforce, loyalists) on several antiterrorist missions. Looking for setisfying pictures took weeks, but I say it was worthy. In the meanwhile I also bought a pair of Pavla's bang seats. The pictures I found were taken in August of 2012, over the city of Aleppo. I choose the nr. 2136 The kit: The kit itself was a litle bit of disapointment. Reading the brand name Eduard whispers me I have a super-hitech something. Well, not. In general the detais are ok. Actualy I think to not giving wheel wells is a marker of miserliness. But the real problems came at fitting, and on the surface of the moulds -> burrs, penetration (is it the good word for?) and "cellulite". Well, okay, they give us express mask. And at least it is size and shape correct. By the way, still much better, than the KoPro's kit. The construction: I made in the orthodox way, cockpit first, glue together the fusalage halves and so on. I used Humbroll and Revell enamel paints, useing syirian made photos as references. Watcing the photoes I realised thet the camo colours seems to the Hungarian camo's used on MiG-21 -23, L-39 and Mi-8 -17, so I had a basic to start from. UB 16 rocket blocks from KoPro Mi-4, pitut tube are injection needles, static dischargers, aerials, brake pipes are from wires. The decals were setting well but I used Gunze Mr. Decal Softer just to make sure... Coated with Gunze acrillic. This is the containment of the box. This pic actually made not by me, the first one found is attached. Sry guyz, I'm lazy.
