  1. Hi everyone This is my 1/72 Su-24 by Trumpeter. The kit has nice recessed panel lines and rivets. The fit was good apart from the intakes and the nose which had a bit of sanding required. The landing gear were well detailed as well as the landing gear bays which had raised rivets and structure. Ak real colours Mig 31/25 was used for the grey and white primer for the underside. The decals were good but the stars and bull wouldn't conform to the panel lines and rivets even after many applications of micro sol. In the end, I just pushed the decal into the rivets with a needle. I mixed black
  2. Sukjoi Su-24 Fencer. Pics taken at The Ukraine State Aviation Museum Zhulyany, Kiev. Pics thanks to Dave Haskell.
  3. Hi, my last finished model. This is 1/72 scale Su-24 from Trumpeter. I haven't made a 1/72 scale model for a long time. Very no problem, nice build. Model was painted with MRP, Gunze, Vellejo and Tamiya paints. Weathering I made oil paints for artists. Few pictures below.
  4. Ukrainian company Armory confirmed that it's going to make Su-24 in 1/144. As i understand the question regarding 1/72 is open. P.S. There is a mistake in a boxart - should be 1/144. Source: GreenMats Club
  5. From chinese sources, Trumpeter is preparing a 1/72 Sukhoi Su-24M/MR "Fencer-D/-E" kit - ref.01672 Sources: http://tw.weibo.com/supertomcat21/3751515812535600 http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=279455 Source: http://tw.weibo.com/supertomcat21/3748226886916265 V.P.
  6. Hi everyone, Very hot here in Spain, hard to modelling if you not have air conditioner, or at least a beer ! Here are my last two builds. Two commission works for two different collectors. A Lavochkin La-7 1/48 from Gavia with Eduard PE parts, and a Sukhoi Su-24 1/72 from Zvezda. I hope you like them. Thanks and cheers Ricardo
  7. Hi folks. I'm currently looking getting a set of the Foxbot deals and paint masks for the Trumper 1/48 Su-24. With regards to the paints masks are they decals of various camo colour applied as other digital schemes are, ala DXM's Digital Super Hornet decals? Or are they actual paint masks , vinyl or other, that paint can be applied over? Thanks, Michael
  8. The very first Prototype with fixed wings and 4 lift engines. It is scratch built with parts of Revell and Streem 1:72. More pictures to come if you like. Cheers!
  9. Greetings! My first 'in-progress' thread, after lurking and posting the odd question here and there. I finally bit the bullet and started one of my grail projects, the Trumpeter 1:48 Fencer. I've always admired the look of the Fencer, for it's size it looks like a very graceful aircraft; but loaded up with ordinance it's very purposeful! I'll be adding the Komplekt Zip (KZ) forward fuselage and rear fuselage/burner cans (I'm still debating about the intakes - are they really that much of an improvement?) and the Aires cockpit and wheel wells. First off with the rear end (!). I spli
  10. Are there any good sites/books that show the differences between all the Su-24 versions (M, M2, MP, MR)? I'm starting the Trumpeter 1:48 beast - I know I shouldn't add the wing fences on top for the M, but I did see a photo captioned as an M which had them, just want to make sure. Wiki doesn't seem to help; sure it mentions them but doesn't really show the differences. Thanks, Jim
  11. Next up it's Trumpeter, with all 8 new releases this month covering aircraft in 1/48 and 1/72, military vehicles in 1/16 and 1/35, and ships in 1/350 and 1/700. Something for everyone. Nice one Trumpeter :-) Ask for the latest Trumpeter kits at your model shop. http://www.pocketbond.co.uk/NewReleases.aspx?id=0&page=1&ipp=25
