Hello folks, it has been a while since my last topic posting. Here I'm back with the Silver Spitfire, Mk. IX kit from AZ Scale 1:72 Paints: AK Chrome, MRP Super Silver (for the rudders) The kit was so so, a bit a pain to build, especially the wing-fuselage joint - but I guess one gets spoiled after building Eduard's Mk.IX Decals also from the box, quite good. All in all happy how it turned out and to have it on display in my vitrina now Ready to move on to the next project - Airfix Victor! 🙂 Hope you like it too Cheers Ben

The Silver Spitfire and her trainer friend were here on Sunday! They did a low pass over the airport, directly above us! Then they both landed and taxied to the end of the runway so we could get some more great shots. Hope they come back soon! In the meantime, enjoy the pictures I am also including two pics of helis I saw -AW189 and EC145- which I think are pretty cool The AW189, HM Coastguard The EC145, Scottish Ambulance Service And now, the spits The flypast I got video too but not sure how or if I even can upload videos. G-ILDA Pilot waved to us G-IRTY I love the rainbow the exhaust heat has made on the metal The two on the ground together closeup of G-IRTY And that concludes my best (there are more that I may potentially post however they aren't as good), hope you all enjoyed. I am considering posting here more again as I have gotten some great pics over the quarantine, A400s, C-17, Pumas, THE AN-225!! anyway see you all later. Oh and @Adam Poultney here's a tag in case you wanted to see my post

Stagione From Wikipedia Seems like a fitting way to describe the process I'll be following for my builds for my chosen subject. G-IRTY, the Silver Spitfire, began life on the Castle Bromwich production line in late 1943 as the first of the block of 44 aircraft under contract B981687/39 as MJ271, LFIXc, with a RR built Merlin 66. For this spring incarnation, I'll start off with a relatively simple Airfix Mk.IXc kit. I have some aftermarket bits that might come into play later on, however I suspect that that won't be in this build.
