  1. Good day, fellow hobbyists. For the review, I present to you a new kit of the last months of 2020 from ICM and the first model completed this year by me. Armored car Sd. Kfz. 247 ausf. B Produced in 1941-1942 in a small series (58 units) at the Daimler-Benz plant, this armored car is little known. Chassis similar to the sd.kfz.221, but with a different engine layout. Horch V-8 - 108 engine with 81 hp No weapons. It was used in the headquarters of the motorcycle rifle battalion of the Wehrmacht tank divisions, until in 1942-43 it was replaced by the heavy armored communication vehicle Sd. Kfz. 263. The model itself, as always recently with ICM, is good. A good study of the interior, the engine(which is still not visible). Everything fits together well. In the end, he simply and without problems gathered. The saddest thing is the wheels. Rubber from ICM, although it looks good, but it is difficult to clean. A set of soldiers also gathered without problems. The only caveat - the driver's hands well, did not want to fall on the steering wheel. Although this, again, is not visible from any angle Improvements at a minimum. I replaced the native dimensions with meth. tubes, modified the mirror, made the front grille. I hung wires to the radio, made wires to the radio operator's headphones. The main color is Tamiya XF-24 Oils and pigments from different manufacturers Thank you for your attention, enjoy watching)
  2. So, here is another one of my finished builds. The Sd.Kfz. 7 was a half-track artillery tratcor used by nazi germany in WW2. From 1934-1944 more than 12.000 were build. It was used as tractor for the 8.8 cm Flak or 15 cm sFH 18 howitzer; sometimes it was also used as recovery vehicle. The Flak 37 was a german 88 mm AA-gun build from 1936-1945 it wasn't only used as AA-gun but also as Anti-Tank gun, in which role it was also adapted as the main weapon of the tiger I, tiger II and Jagdpanther tanks. It was used by many countries e.g. nazi-Germany, Finland or Spain. Source: resumed from Wikpedia I build the 1/72 Revell kit including the Sd.Kfz. 7, the Flak 36/37 and its trailer(s). The fit was pretty good and Revells new track system worked out pretty well as the tracks were pretty thin. It was painted with Revell colors and weathered with dust made from pastel chalks. I build it with one ammo storage compartment open and the white "shimmer" is supposed to simulate a "light" snowfall (what do you think about it?) So, here are the pics: IMG_2129 by nivelnnamkcurts, auf Flickr IMG_2130 by nivelnnamkcurts, auf Flickr IMG_2131 by nivelnnamkcurts, auf Flickr IMG_2132 by nivelnnamkcurts, auf Flickr IMG_2133 by nivelnnamkcurts, auf Flickr IMG_2134 by nivelnnamkcurts, auf Flickr IMG_2136 by nivelnnamkcurts, auf Flickr IMG_2137 by nivelnnamkcurts, auf Flickr IMG_2138 by nivelnnamkcurts, auf Flickr IMG_2139 by nivelnnamkcurts, auf Flickr IMG_2140 by nivelnnamkcurts, auf Flickr The obligatory comparsion to an 1€ coin and an 1/72 esci figure: IMG_2142 by nivelnnamkcurts, auf Flickr (all pics were taken with my phone as my camera has some focus problems at the moment ; thi is why they're so grainy ) I hope you like it Comments and critics are welcome, Regards Levin
  3. Sorry for the late start in joining, but as I haven't built a vehicle of any description since I was about 12 this is going to be a long way outside the comfort zone of Aircraft that I normally build. I fancied doing something a bit different, and after checking with our illustrious hosts for the OK here it is the SdKfz 232, based on a very unglamorous truck chassis from the early 1930's they were to see action in Poland, and the invasion of France via the county route taken to fool the allies. They were phased out in favour of the posher 8 wheeled variety, ending their days with the police and training units. I have a choice of a few different vehicles but will likely build the one that served in France. Photos below, all help, advice, encouragement and general feedback, good bad and ugly very much appreciated. Cheers Pat
  4. Hello All, WIP number two... painted, decalled, pin washed, chipped, filtered and ready for oils..... 250/10 from Culvers pz colours vol 1 Thanks for looking and happy to answer questions. Happy modelling Ian
  5. Hello All, WIP of the interior prior to permanently closing up. Will be converted to a Afrika Korps 250/10 so don't take too much notice of the Panzer grey finish as it will be a base for some hairspray technique 'action' .... (fingers crossed on that)! Happy Modelling, Ian
