I know I have to complete the models I started first. But because I have a very strong will, I have managed to defeat myself, and I continue to expand my collection of started and unfinished models.
This time it’s Tamiya Marder I (35370) that I found under the Christmas tree.
It's a very interesting vehicle - on thecaptured French Lorrain 37L, a fighting compartment was mounted with the best anti-tank 75-mm Pak 40 cannon at that time.
All details fit perfectly. Excellent, easy to sand plastic, semi-assembled tracks. If assembled directly from the box, the model can be glued in one evening.
Disadvantages: small parts very thick and very simplified, almost empty interior, not even crew gas mask containers, fire extinguisher, first aid kit. And a lot of visible pin marks (as the details will still have to be thinned, this can be ignored).
But all the shortcomings can be easily remedied.
From scratch, I made only cannon lock stands and radio rack.
I glued the details to the blocks
I sanded the parts to the actual thickness (from 1 mm to 0.2-0.3 mm)
The plastic barrel is very good, it is really not necessary to replace it with metal.
I made a radio rack from scratch. I didn't like the original from a box because it hides a large part of the radio. And make holes in radio rack dampers for radio hardware.
I crumpled the muffler cover
Happy New Year to all !!!
