Any chance of the above mentioned kits? I know AModel announced the Lincoln maybe 10 years ago, but nothing came of it. It would be nice to have the military Sunderland and civilian Sandringham as well as the Shackleton in 1/144 as well.

I started on an old Airfix kit and with all Viggen and Gripen build's going on here I might abandon my entry's of those and concentrate on this one instead. There were five Short Sandringhams in Norway so I will do one of them. It must have been at least ten years ago that I bought the conversion from Mystery Resin Works. First I need to fill all of the small round windows. For this I will need lots of 5,5 mm plastic discs and found that a paper punch will make them but it is hard to make them without wasting lots of plastic card. A piece of cardboard was used in helping to steer thin plastic strips to minimise the waste. The result was a bag of plastic discs. and holes. I glued in the clear windows and covered them with the plastic discs to get them in level with the fuselage. Putty and sanding followed. Then it was time to start cutting new windows and remove plastic in the front and at the rear. Testing the new nose and tail.
