Manufacturer; Italeri Scale; 1/48 Kit number; 2815 Aftermarket; Out of the box Paints; Exterior, Tamiya XF19, XF70, XF59 and XF64. AK Real Colour RLM04 on the cowl with a mix on Xtreme Metal Bronze and Copper on the cowl ring. Mr Finishing Surfacer White for the fuselage band. Interior, mix of AK Real Colour RAF Interior Grey Green and XF19 and Xtreme Metal Matt Aluminium. Various Tamiya X and XF and Posca pens for detailing. Primer; Mr Surfacer 1200. Varnish; AK Gauzy Shine Agent. Tamiya X35 Semi-Gloss. Weathering; Flory Dark Dirt and Grime wash, Abteilung oils and Tamiya weathering palettes.

Hello modeller friends, While researching for a new project, I stumbled on this profile of a Macchi C.200 Saetta with unusual black triangles bordering the cowling. Picture for information only This machine was allegedly from the 96a squadriglia (9 gruppo, 4 stormo C.T.) Gorizia-Merna march 1941. As the wise man said: never trust a profile without a photo 😉 I tried to look for a photo of this same aircraft/unit but to no avail. Can you help me with a reference to that particular machine? I continue with the Italian Aviation jets. The Macchi C.200 Saetta, the old Revel's model, was completed. It suited me for work. It's all out of the box. except the decal and the elise. The model is a plane that was stationed in Crete. Here's the picture.

Hello I wish to participate with the Mc.200 Saetta from Hobby Boss. Although better than the Revell offering (I believe), it lacks a few important parts. I hope to add some detail to a simple, but reasonably well shaped kit. I will select a scheme from Sky Models C.200 sheet with the assistance of these reference books. Also some PE seat belts........ .......and this should work for the C.200 instrument panel. I built one of these a while back and enjoyed it, but hope to make a better show of this one. Wayne

Hi guys, I will be building the Pacific Coast Modeller 1/32 Macchi MC.200. It will be build straight out of the box. Well SOB means resin engine, cockpit and some PE parts as well. The only extra will be the decals. Pictures will follow later. Cheers,

Hello I did start doing my SM.79 but that's a dead project at the moment, because I'm waiting until I get my new airbrush (and then I'm practicing on a Blenheim). So anyway, got myself a MC.200 at my LMS for aroud £5. I tried to use my cheap airbrush to spray the base coat, which then broke. So I used the Humbrol one instead as that was £10. It was alright, but a bit hit or miss. .I think it's turned out alright so far, just got to add decals and then it'll be done. It's taken about 5 hours so far (plus a lot of airbrush faffing). It was my first aircraft done with acrylics (and first making a mask for a canopy...it wasnt entirely successful), and really my first complete model of about 4 years! Anyway, pictures! Assembled, canopy with my first 'masking' job. The underside sprayed, just as my airbrush and comp died! Now fully painted, and I'm pretty happy with it. Added some thread, needs tiring a bit...bit, and it looks better in person haha. Overall I'm pretty happy with how it's turned out so far, my first model in a long long time.
