Hi I don't normally do build diaries but I just wanted to see what you guys think. Here is just a little insight into a WIP I'm looking at doing soon, I’ve wanted to build the Defender from the tv series Death in Paradise for some time so I brought the Revell Land Rover to look at doing after my next project. But last week our JRT passed away very suddenly, so I needed something to destroy and something to keep my mind from wondering, so I dug this out and a 1/24 metal version I had (hence the destruction). So heres some photo of what I’ve done over the weekend to try and convert a Land Rover into a Defender, please leave feedback good or bad was to what you think. Kit I'm going to use The donner kit that I took apart.

Having built a 1/48 TR-1 and a SR-71 Blackbird these seemed a logical next project to go on the list. As most of my builds are Europe based 80s & 90s jets, and many are HAS dwellers, there is a cross over. The F-117 Night Hawk or Wobblin’ Goblin. Afew weeks back I got hold of an old Monogram / Revell kit of one (1/48 as usual) and when I finished my Phantom double build I pulled it from the stash. Looks pretty good & even comes with etch grills. Thinking about putting some lights in it too. All three undercarriage legs have taxi lights & top & bottom anti collision beacons. This is a sim shot but you get the idea Why HAS dweller then? Well I have read that they unofficially ended up in the HASes at Lakenheath and Spangdahlem when over this side of the pond. I had always thought they were a bit small, but this is the main body with a Phantom for scale So I will have a proper look at the kit & see how it looks. Any hints or tip appreciated

A week into the GB and I've finished deliberating about which of my numerous fails will get another chance. What I really need is a KUTA of KUTA GB😬. I've dragged out the Matchbox Spitfire First started in the &5th anniversary GB and being in memory of my Dad it's a long overdue commemoration. AND it was a Christmas present from my children many years ago, so that should add up to KUTA enough and this time I'm really going to do it! Be that as it may, my resolve is flagging already; I'd forgotten just how much of a child of its time the moulds are- at least the sink marks on the bottom of the fuselage are symmetrical. So, it's going to be a very basic out of the box build as the many defects in this kit are listed elsewhere and there's better modellers than me spent a lot of time to correct those. Next is the inevitable head-scratching trying to work out what I'd done and why and just how much of it was necessary! As dad was a mechanic rather than a pilot I'll probably leave all the hatches etc open to show what he worked with plus it'll save the problem later of how many of those same hatches don't fit. Per ardu ad astra, I'm going to do it!!

Originally I intended to build this one as a Russian two-seat artillery observer, which would also take care of the problematic fuselage spine. In the end I just made a (relatively) quick build of it. It did receive some new wheels, a new prop and the cockpit was reworked. Cheers, Luka

Hi, I start building Fujimi Fg.1 and Revell F-4F phantoms about a year ago, and the plan was trying to do a WIP of the build.. which you can see on the link I failed miserably. The build is heavily influenced by @giemme's amazing phantom builds. @Gene K intake are also use, and this build wouldn't be happening if without his help and of course his intake patterns.. I also received many helps from other BM members who provide me with info regarding the subjects... Thanks guys! Fujimi 1/72 F-4 Phantom II Fg.1 Revell 1/72 F-4F Phantom II The Phantom on the background is Hasegawa 1/72 RF-4E which I also finished after being the shelf queen since 2008ish... Partially detailed by Eduard F-4E PE set. My wife think I had enough Phantom.... Cheers, Mario

Dear fellow modellers, I've started new "mini challenge", a Revell 1/144 Alpha Jet. Kit itself has a slight issues with correct shape (especially tail is "banana" shaped) and canopy is too thick - to be replaced with vacuform part. I won't deal much with inaccuracies, rather it will serve as a practice for glossy finish Let's start with wings: Clearly, some touch ups are needed on left wing. And still not sure if mixed blue color isn't too dark (on photos definitely, otherwise it's not that dark). Next, horizontal stabilizers: I've also glued fuselage together and applied putty. Waiting to fully cure before proceeding. Will keep you updated Best Regards, T
