  1. Hi Everyone, Here`s some pic`s of my latest build that I finished last week. Revells boxing of the Monogram 1/48 Devastator Done in the markings of VT-5, aboard USS Yorktown , circa 1937-41 Added a few bits of extra detail, some from and Eduard etched set ( ignition harness, seat buckles and a few details on the cockpit walls ) Some from scraps of plastic card ( wing folds, wheel wells, cockpit floor and inside of the bottom of the fuselage ) and some bits of wire ( wing folds and torpedo slings ) Decals from `Yellow-Wings Decals` set 48-001 and the stash The carrier base is a Eduard accessory and I know it`s the wrong colour for the time frame, but it looks better than the garden table. Hope you enjoy, thanks for looking Cheers Russ
  2. Hi guys, long time no see ! This is something that I started months ago, to be more precise, last summer. My airbrush was broken and unable to find spare parts, I had to wait some time. I switched to another project ( MiG-21 Bis, I will also post pictures ) and I completely forgot about this one. So few weeks ago, I decided to finish this beautiful kit ( it's amazing, like Great Wall Hobby made it ). It will definitely be with Greek camouflage with special scheme, much different that standard British one... Sorry for my Tarzan English, at least the photos are good, I think... And that's it for now ! New pictures soon ! P.S. Does anybody have blueprints with rivets for this aircraft ? Thanks ! Cheers, Nenad
  3. Hello Everyone, whilst I`m stuck between builds again, I thought I`d show you some pic`s of my Wild Weasel eF-4C that I adapted from the old Revell/Monogram kit Decals came from TwoBobs `First of the Weasels ` sheet and shows an aircraft of 67th TFS, Korat, Thailand, 1972 and the kit didn`t require much modification; just one antenna and some reworking of the weapons load with MER and bombs on the centre line and some scratch built Shrike missiles and adaptors on the inner pylons Didn`t do any changes in the cockpit though as couldn`t find any info` on them at the time Apparently the weren`t too successful in the roll. Hope you enjoy looking at, Cheers Russ
  4. Hi Everyone, between builds again at the moment so, I thought I`d show you one of my Air Apache Mitchell strafers from my collection Built from the Jet Alpine Force boxing by Revell of the Monogram 1/48 kit Decals are the kit items and represent an aircraft of the 345th BG, 501st BS at Tacloban, Leyte, Philippines Kit Built OOB with just some wire ignition cables, brake pipes, home made seat straps and antenna added hope you enjoy looking at.
  5. Hi all, whilst I wrestle with one old Monogram Classic on the `bench` I thought I`d take the opportunity to show you a pair of previous Monogram builds Firstly my P-61A Built pretty much OOB, with just aftermarket decals and a few embellishments in the cockpit Since I built it I`ve been informed it should have a fixed turret installation, but I can live with it Next up My P-61B This time with kit decals Managed to make life harder by closing the transparencies on both (they`re not a good fit) Hope you enjoy looking at
  6. Hi all, another Monogram classic @ £4.99 and classic aircraft... F-105G 'Thunderchief' Built straight from the box apart from adding new decals and fitting a couple of Aires seats. Paints used Xtracolour Gloss Enamels. Brian.
  7. Hi Everyone, Whilst I`m between builds and to test the new Photobucket I thought I`d show you my Thunderchief collection, so far: firstly a family shot, then Monogram F-105D, built with kit decals (which were a swine to do as very old) mostly OOD except for the rocket pods and bombs which were from a Hasegawa weapons set just to make it a little different then Revell EF-105F, `Wild Weasel` Done with one of the options that come on the decal sheet, but again with reworked armament to portray a a load more suitable for an `F` and lastly Revell F-105G, `Wild Weasel` this time with kit armament selection but aftermarket decals and fitted the crew as couldn,t be bothered to make seat belts Hope you enjoy looking at probably my favourite `Jet` kit..
  8. Hi everyone, had a slight set back with my ICM Spitfire VIII which I hoped would be finished by now, so I thought I`d show you another of my 1/48th Air Apache B-25`s Built from the Monogram 8 gun nose boxing of the kit OOB except for the decals which are from Aeromaster Marauding Mitchells pt II in the markings of 498th Bomb Squadron, 345 Bomb Group, Philippines in 1945 Late in the war these aircraft often had the nose `package guns` removed and I have tried to replicate the patches left as seen in pic`s of the time Hope you enjoy looking at..... and happy modelling
  9. Hi all, Calling this one finished, Monograms 1/48 scale P-47D Bubble top done as a pacific aircraft `Passionate Patsy` flown by Lt Ralph Barns, 310th FS/58th FG Made a few improvements on the old kit; repositioned gun barrels and replaced with brass tube, replaced bombs with drop tanks, redid the mount for the centre line tank drilled out formation lights, landing lights and opened up ejector chutes and some bits of wire for the ignitionharness and brake pipes Hope you enjoy
  10. Here`s my Revell 1/48 Ventura that I only recently completed Built mostly from the box with only Loon Models propellors and scratch built D/F loop under the nose Easy build except fot the bomb doors which I found a bit fiddley photographed with white sheet phoney snow, hope you enjoy looking at
