  1. Hi to all. Finally I finished this beautiful aircraft, one of my fafourites modern ones. Is the Revell kit 04517. It represents the Rafale M n° 15, Flottille 11F French Navy NATO Tiger Meet 2014, Airfield Schleswig AB (ETNS), Germany. This particular aircraft has marks of dropped bombs during the operation Harmattan, Lybia 2011. The construction link is here: I hope you like it. Best regards, Pablo
  2. This is the Revell kit which I think fits better than the Tamiya version and has a better selection of stores I used Cutting Edge sheet CD48106 which had 51-10437 flown by Col. Charles Jordan commander of the 58th FBW from Taegu, South Korea 1952. I took advantage of the pleasant weather to photograph her outside hoping not to use the flash as it washes out the metallic finish I used. Thanks for looking
  3. This is Revell's 48th Mosquito. Its a strange old kit, some really lovely detail, cockpit, bombay, the transparencies are thin and very clear, though the side panels are separate and a bit of a fiddle to fit. They include a pair of Merlins if you want to display them, and all the control surfaces are separate. But the fit is a bit iffy in places, especially the engine nacelles. To get a good fit around the rear end needed a lot of filling and sanding. The spinners don't seem quite right to me and the undercarriage legs are missing the door guides, but still its a Mosquito and I like Mosquitos! how to take screenshots print screen windows xp online photo sharing image ru screengrab image uploading site windows 7 screen shot screen shot I used Xtra Colour and Humbrol enamels and the decals are out of the box. I am now going to get my 24th Mossie out of the stash and have a few hours of quiet contemplation. Thanks for looking.
  4. If you have this 1/48th kit in the stash. And you would like a masterclass on how to build it. look no further..... http://www.modelersalliance.com/forum/chukw/147807-me410-all-the-way This build by Chuck W dates from 2009 - 2010. There may have been a link here before, But it bears looking at again. Amazing work. If you don't have the kit but want some resin guidance, have a look. The build does contain some offbeat humour. So the easily offended are advised not to go there. I found the link on Hyperscale.com. Pete
  5. This the first of 2014, it is the fabulous Revell/Monogram F-86 with Hi Line decals for a Greek machine in the early 1960s. It still needs a pair of pylons and sidewinder launch rails, I have a pair in one of my spares boxes but I haven't located them yet It is a cracking kit shame they are getting hard to find. Thanks for looking
  6. This my latest fifties US jet. It is the Revell USA boxing I picked up on a trip to Pittsburgh last year. I used an old Aeromaster sheet to do an F-84G of the 310th FBS, 58th FBW based in Korea in 1952. I reasoned that it would be quite worn in appearance so I tried to make her look like a welll used machine. I used an Eduard masking set and that really helped get the circular access panel as close to circular as I have ever managed. After two Classic Airframes models in a row this fabulous piece of engineering by Revell was just the right thing to get my modelling mojo back on track. I used no filler though the nose ring needed a little filing to get it to conform, the first time it has hapened on the previous three Es and Gs I have assembled. Thanks for looking
