R-73 / AA-11 Archer Missiles
1:72 Eduard
The R-73 Vympel (NATO reporting name AA-11 Archer) is a short range infra red homing missile developed in the Soviet Union that entered service in 1984 to replace the R60 (AA-8 Aphid). Following German Reunification the Luftwaffe found itself with these missiles and it was found that they were surprisingly good, and better in many aspects than the then AIM-9L.
