Hi guys, during a recent visit at my LHS I saw they had two kits of the Lublin R-XIII D in 1/48 (original Spojnia and Mirage-rebox). I got interested and started a bit of reaseach (you know, kit quality, Aftermaket available, ...) and I noticed that there are different interpreations of the colour scheme. In general I've seen two different camo variants: - Green/Dark Brown/Tan (or Light Brown) over Light Blue https://modelingmadness.com/scott/allies/pl/lublinr13.htm https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/5373-lublin-r-xiiid-132-lukgraph/ https://ipmspolska.org.pl/project/lublin-r-xiii-d-mirage-hobby-1-48/ - Dark green/Light Green/Tan (or Light Brown) over Light Blue https://www.aircraftresourcecenter.com/Gal13/12601-12700/gal12643-Lublin-Oslizlo/00.shtm https://lukgraph.pl/userdata/public/gfx/453.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/6049/6350777322_85e0e4c397_b.jpg So my question is, does anyone know what are the correct colours for the R-XIII D? There doesn't seem to be a dedicated paint set available so if anyone knows which of the above schemes is correct and which paints are the best match for each of the colours it would be much appreciated. Maybe one of our Polish friends @JWM, @GrzeM, @KRK4m can help? Also, if anyone knows where one can find good period photos of these machines (there are many profiles but not too many photos of them) I would be much obliged. Thanks in advance! Cheers Markus

Hello everyone … So for my first Eduard MiG-21 I will be building this. I wont be using the Marlin decals but plan on building a MiG-21R so will need the roundels and stencils. Here is the Eduard Reconnaissance pod. And the obligatory sprue shots. My goal is to do it in this scheme, I presume this was something adorning the Polish MiG-21’s in the later 1980’s or 1990’s. https://www.jetphotos.com/photo/8118541 Please feel free to ask questions, post comments or thoughts. I will be adding the Banner created by @Mig Eater Dennis

I have Just completed My last Aircraft Honoring the Kosciuszko Squadron Flyers. This was the 1/48 Eduard/Academy Mig-29 UB in Polish Markings I need to thank Polish AF US Liaison Budniak Karol for all his support in correct colors of Mig-29. The decals are from ModelMaker ,a Polish decal company and they were fantastic. Below are two Aircraft with 100 years of separation tied in by the pilot, American Major Cedric Fauntleroy. The Albatross is the markings of Major Fauntleroy in 1920 and the 2020 Mig-29 has the pilots image on the inside of the the tails. Both aircraft sport the Kosciuszko Squadron Emblem designed by an American flier Elliot Chess during the Polish/Bolshevik conflict in 1920. Major Fauntleroy was the Kosciuszko Squadron commander during the conflict. I was trying complete the Mig-29 in 2020 but I did not receive the decals until December. I added the Eduard F.O.D covers just to add a Little color. The kit was loaded with Photo-etched parts,Resin seats and I added Resin Exhaust set. Notice the two different photos in the tail area, one in flying gear and one formal uniform. Thanks for Looking Comments are always welcome Regards Bill

Hi, The 309 Squadron (Polish) RAF was formed soon after BOB, initially for recce purposes, finally converted to recce-fighter role. A brief history is described here: http://www.polishsquadronsremembered.com/309/309_story.html At the end of war they got N.A. Mustangs Mk III of late variant (like P 51 C) with enlarged fin area rather rare among RAF Mk IIIs. This squadron was (AFAIK) the only one RAF squadron on piston driven machine who scored victories on German jets Me 262 Schwalbe. The model is presenting machine of F/Lt Mieczysław Gorzula, FZ111, WC-V, "Jean" who shot down Me 262 at 9 April 1945.near Hamburg. The 309 Squadron was based on Andrews Field and belong to 133 Wing. The nose art "Jean" is hand painted other decals from drawer. Comments welcome Regards Jerzy-Wojtek P.S. Kit Academy 1/72 with Malcolm hood by Monogram (which I liked more then the Academy one)

Without doubt the star of the show for *me*. Even if that so called F-35 turned up, these would still win, hands down. I will be working through my photos this week, but was very eager to get the Su-22's done.... Hope you enjoy!
