In Archangelsky PS-35 (ANT-35) that first flew in September 1936 was a Soviet attempt of creating modern high speed airliner. Designed and built in Tupolev bureau it was, however, inferiour to Douglas DC-3 for which Soviet Union bought a license, therefore only a dozen was built.
