  1. China's modern air arm is noterious for being filled of 'rip-off' aircraft. The J-10 is apparently the Lavi. The J-31 is apparently made from hacked F-35 designs. The J-20 also follows this pattern, but less obviously. It's alleged that this aircraft draws it's origin from the Mig 1.44 - an aircraft that (sadly) never got into production. I don't know why, but Chinese aircraft have fascinated me recently. Ever since finishing my J-10 I've just become completely obsessed with Chinese aviation! So, a J-20 had to be made. Construction is/was beautiful! It's fit together s
  2. Hi, Want some wild colour schemes and bizarre partnerships? What about Bangladesh Let 410, Sri Lankan Kfir, Taiwanese B-24, Malaysian A-400, Myanmar MiG-29, South Korean Hawk, Communist Chinese La-11, Indian Navy Do.228, PLAAF Divine Eagle? And on, and on and on.....! Asian Air Arms SIG has been set up to enable modellers to access a huge resource of post-1945 military aircraft subjects from 26 Asian countries: Mongolia to the Maldives, and from Japan to Afghanistan. Huge website http://www.asianairarms.com offers thousands of photos, colour schemes, research, contemporary accounts,
  3. No photos yet gang but simply nailing my colours to a mast and making a commitment. Plan is to finish a couple of long-term projects and thus create a bit of bench space before starting this one. I've a few examples of the new Airfix 27nd scale kit in the stash and plans for all of them but the simplest and most likely for me to realise within the GB timescale will be one from the Chinese Peoples Liberation Army Air Force. From what I've read these were abandoned Taiwanese aircraft captured at various airbases and impressed into service with the rapidly growing PLAAF along with a plethora
  4. Hello! Let me intruduce my 1/72nd Trumpeter "G" Flanker from the PLAAF. At sunday late night I've finished this project. I am not 100% satisfied with the kit itself and neither with the result of my job, but I am happy to see this giant in my cabinet. However its a farly nice model kit, its not precise enough for me. Actually it had a lot of irritating issues with the accuracy of the details. Or the lack of the details. Either the armament is chaotic! If You want to build a Flnaker it'll do it, but if you want to build an accurate SU-30 MKK, well... as we say: tie up your pants. But I also
  5. Szervusztok! My F-4ETM is in finish, so I looking for the next challange. I bought it one year ago and after this one year salivation I preparing to start the buildig. Also, the Summer Santa give me a box os Rus. A2G armament. I choose the other painting variant, this a/c belonging to a testing and training unit. I still hesitating on the arming. I going to add some strike congig, but have not decided yet, exactly what. Maybe that one from the box art? Or do a Wild Weasel? In Wild Weasel rola MKK carries up to six(!) X-31 missiles. If not all of the six, but I would happily mount four X-
  6. Made from Trumpeter kit. Thanks for viewing.
  7. Hi, Anyone got a definitive colour for the upper surfaces of the PLAAF Il-76MDs that are now in camo? Have seen many colour photos, and upper surfaces look anything from light grey to yucky duck-egg green.
