  1. Hallo This is my biggest jet ever built. The F-15 or F-16 were small. Now this kit was the Hobby Boss 81715. Actually the kit allows you a built straight ahead. The details of a Su-27 are relevant, since they all repeat here with some changes of Chines way of course. The photos I found in the web were quite a few, which showed me details, to relay on. I used Quintas for the cockpit, some other aftermarket products, which I do not remember all. The Galaxy masks are a wonderful thing, since they are also a good guideline for the paint-job also. So have a look! Happy modelling
  2. Hi everyone, Last one build, for a GB on Warpaints forum. Nice kit, easy build, but it would be kind from HB to stop propose us some parts so small that they can' draw them accurately on the instruction sheet... Also, I'm not too happy with my own results. Let's look at the pics.
  3. Peoples Liberation Army (PLA) Armoured Vehicle Crew (HS-011) 1:35 Meng via Creative Models With more main stream Chinese kit manufactures appearing it was only going to be time until we had some modern PLA vehicles on the scene. Now from Meng comes a set of figures for them. This seems to be less of a combat or general set with the figures looking like those you would see on one of the massive Army parades the PLA stage. From the box you can build four figures, each having separate arms, legs head and torso, plus one driver for which only the shoulders and head are provided. There is one figure standing to attention, one manning an anti-aircraft gun, one sitting, and another standing holding onto a hatch rim. There is nothing else in the form of equipment or weapons in the set. Conclusion Mengs's figures are excellent, and this crew will make a difference to your Chinese vehicle. Highly recommended. 4. About a year ago, I backed a crowd-funded 3D printer/laser cutter/CNC mill on a crowdfunding website. Mine arrived on Saturday and I’ve been learning how to make the 3D printer work. The test print? A Space Marine! Thanks to Thingiverse, I was able to find a suitable candidate & scale it. Progress so far: Only a 30-hour print!
  5. Here is a model I have had half-done for a year or so, finally finished.
  6. Chinese People’s Liberation Army Colours Ammo by Mig Jimenez There is a increasing choice when it comes to PLA armour kits, with almost every manufacturer having a selection in their portfolio. But what do you paint them with? Now, Mig Jimenez is well known for his various paint ranges, and this set, in the AMMO range, has been designed for just the occasion with a selection of four of the standard colours used by the Chinese armoured forces. Pale Green, Ochre Earth Zashchitiny Zaleno Olive Drab Shadow According to the blurb on the bottles they can be both brushed or airbrushed which please a lot of modellers. Once the bottles have been shaken very well colour density looks pretty good, and whilst I haven’t used these particular colours I have used others in the AMMO range and they do spray well with a little bit of thinning. I wouldn’t say they were ready to spray straight from the bottle though. As for what colour Zashchitiny Zaleno is, well it appears to be something close to Olive Drab, but a tiny bit greener. Conclusion This looks to be a very useful and well thought out set of colours from AMMO and will prove a very useful to those modellers with an interest i the Chinese AFV’s. Highly recommended.
