You can't have a Revell/Monogram GB without some American muscle so for my second build I've got what is arguably the daddy of them all, the 1964 Pontiac GTO. Introduced as an option package on the mid sized Pontiac Le Mans the GTO replaced the standard 326c.i. (5.3 litre) V8 with the 389c.i. (6.4 litre) V8 from the larger Catalina along with a manual transmission, stiffer springs and wider tyres. With the optional tri-power carburation as depicted in the kit it was rated at 348hp, which must have been fun with drum brakes all round.
The kit was originally issued in 1985 and this is a 1998 reissue, by which time it had become a 2 'n 1 kit with an optional street machine version.
