Happy new year all. I finished this one today. Build started november last year. It’s the Kinetic 1/48 Mirage 2000D. The kit is kind of ok. A few fit issues here and there, but over all i like the surface details. I added Quinta cockpit 3d decals and a Reskit exthsust nozzle. Late in the build i found out that the nose is kind of wrong, but it was too late in the process, so i will live with that. Painted with Hataka acryllics and weathered with Flory wash, oils and pastels, trying to give it a weathered/sandy look. Here is is. Thanks for stopping by đŸ™‚

Back in 2012, it was reported that the French Air Force was going to start using the ASTAC ELINT pods on the Mirage 2000D, to supplement or replace the Mirage F1CR. http://defense-update.com/20120224_french-mirage-2000d-to-assume-f-1cr-elint-capabilities-by-2014.html https://www.thalesgroup.com/en/content/thales-adapt-astac-reconnaissance-pods-mirage-2000d http://www.airforce-technology.com/news/newsfrench-mirage-2000d-fighters-to-receive-thales-astac-pods I have yet to see any photos of a Mirage 2000D carrying an ASTAC. Does anybody know if that "program" was terminated, or are they going through with it? Anybody have any photos of a Mirage 2000D carrying an ASTAC pod, or any other recce pod? I would like to start my Kinetic 1/48 Mirage 2000D kit, but if the real aircraft is no longer going to be used in the ELINT or reconnaissance role, then I will just sell or trade the kit. Larry

Hello There! Here is my latest finished build. It depicts the ground attack version of the Mirage 2000 as seen in operations above Mali in 2013. I used the Ialeri/Kinetic boxing with Wolfpack cockpit and Renaissance exhaust nozzle. The wing tanks are replaced with my resin casting. Decals are from Italeri and Carpena/berna. Paints are Humbrol hand sprayed with my 0,15mm Infinity. Clear coats are Microscale Gloss, Satin and matt. Washes with oil "sepia". Dust is done with pigments. Hope you like it. Cheers Romain

Hi everyone, Can someone please help me. I recently started working on the 1/48 Kinetic ROCAF Mirage 2000-5Di. I bought the Wolfpack Mirage 2000D resin cockpit for it but from the limited info I was able to gather it seems that the two seaters in service with Taiwan are purely Mirage 2000-5 trainers. I am therefor not sure if the Mirage 2000D cockpit is correct for this kit. My question relates spesifically to the front and rear instrument panels. I cannot find pictures of the Mirage 2000-5Di cockpit anywhere on the web. Does anybody know what panel these aircraft uses? I suspect the front panel is the same as standard 2000-5 and rear as 2000D, without the rubber scope tube extensions. Any info would be much appreciated Thanks
