Picked this one up from a well known auction site 😛 Hull is already formed.. No motor in the box unfortunately Everything else looks good to go. All instructions are in Chinese, but I'm sure I can figure most of it out with much trouble lol Looks as though I'm going to have to make it as USS Spruance post VLS upgrade as the x2 sprues that have the quad TLAM launchers and the ASROC launcher is not in the box or make them myself Luckily I can leave those until the end to decide. First part of superstructure going together Internal hangar

Well, this is the first kit i've opened the box for since I joined here, figured I may as well give a WIP thread a shot Disclaimers: This is the biggest kit i've built for a LONG time, it's my first EVER Russian plane and it's my first jet in ten years+. I loved the shape, I had to have one :D I can't imagine work to progress *especially* fast and it won't be the most inspiring quality of work any of you will have ever seen, but as long as i'm having fun, it's all good Maybe I can help some of you avoid problems should you ever tackle the same kit in the future.... at times you'll be sat at your screen, pulling air in through your teeth thinking "wouldn't have done that....!" When I first saw the box (size,) I thought. "Hype, waste of cardboard." When I opened it up, I 100% took that back. The box is FULL. Moulding the fuselage as top-and-bottom pieces contributes to that, but the sprues match it. The nose is also moulded as a single piece (no seams to worry about! *relief*) so, if one wished to show it with canopy closed, landing gear up, it would probably be ready to paint in about an hour First first thoughts: canopy is way too thick and the clear sprue wasn't bagged separately, ALTHOUGH, it was turned away from the other sprues. The missile fins are crude and need replaced. The texture of the kit is a bit rough and will need some 1200 I imagine.
