  1. Hi everyone! I decided to start something new on the side and get off the F-16 I am building for a while because I am getting a bit burnt out with it to be honest. I decided to start something fresher and I thought simpler.... naive I am!! So I decided to start with the Hasegawa Mig-27 Flogger D in the 1/72: This particular release is from 2003 although I am suspecting it comes from an old old kit as a quick search in Scalemates suggests. Also the combination of raised and depressed panel lines suggests. Furthermore there some significant flash in the kit pointing to a worn out mold. So
  2. The long expected 1/48th fighter-bomber variants from the "Flogger" are in the 2015/2016 Trumpeter programme - ref.05801 - MiG-23BN "Flogger-H" - ref.05802 - MiG-27 "Flogger-D" - http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234996487-148-mig-27-flogger-d-by-trumpeter-released-nose-correction-set-in-design-by-cold-war-studio/ - ref.05803 - MiG-27M "Flogger-J" - http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235004894-148-mig-27m-flogger-j-new-variant-by-trumpeter-released/ Source: https://www.facebook.com/ScaleModels.ru/photos/a.632237406802735.1073741827.1293105
  3. I really do need to avoid the GB Chat area!!! Aa a result of wandering through the GB forums (..I won’t say why… ) , we’ve had STGB’s for pretty well all the popular/known modern jets (even multiple times) and one was noticeably missing, the MiG-23/27. Whilst the Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-23/27 was probably not their most popular or well-loved product, they did produce over 6000 in all their variants and used by just about everyone (37 counties in total), and surprisingly is still in use (9 counties in total). So it’s probably time we had a STGB for her and sh
  4. Well my Spitfires decals were settling so I was stuck for something to do so I decided I would make a start on one of the builds I would like to do for this GB. This ones just going to be a quick out the box effort on Academys 1/72 MiG-27. I know the kits got its issues, I beleive the nose is wrong for a D and the cockpit detail is almost none existant but I'm just looking for a quick build again at the moment and not get bogged down with corrections and detailing etc on this whilst I'm waiting on parts for a couple of other builds I want to get done for this and another gb so onwards.
  5. After the MiG-23BN "Flogger-H" (http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234973404-148-mig-23bn-flogger-h-by-trumpeter-released/) Trumpeter is to release in late March 2016 a 1/48th MiG-27 "Flogger-D" - ref.05802. 6. After its MiG-27K "Flogger-J2" (http://modelsua.com/MiG-27K-Kaira-Guillemot-NATO-Flogger-J2-1-72-Artmodel-7214.html) ArtModel has just released a 1/72nd MiG-27M/D "Flogger-J" kit - ref.7216 Source: http://modelsua.com/MiG-27M-D-Flogger-J-ground-attack-aircraft-1-72-ArtModel-7216.html The image in the ModelsUA homepage is a picture from a 19.Gv.APIB MiG-27D "Flogger-J" - bort 24 yellow, c/n 61912559200 - taken in the early nineties at Lärz (Mirow) in Germany. 8. Build 10 This will mostly be an OOB build with a little work on the wing glove to reduce the gap. Price: £2.98 eBay. I had to throw the box away when I received the kit as it was smelling moldy. But before I did, I scanned the instructions and paint guide on the back of the box. The stars are not very well defined and I'l probably replace these from the spares box.
  9. New for the Eduard Days 2013, RV Aircraft (http://www.rvresin.com/plastic_kits.html) is to release a 1/72nd MiG-23BM "Flogger-D" kit. Source: http://modelweb.modelforum.cz/2013/09/26/novinka-firmy-r-v-aircraft-na-rijen-2013/?lang=CS V.P. .
  10. Hello All, Decided to build this completely OOB, and get it done quick. I've taken a look at my "stash" and I am quite shocked by how many models I own compared to how many I have built (about 12:1 ratio!). I think this kit is almost as old as I am... 1986 the instructions say, only 3 years younger than me! Ouch... Onto the pictures... Decided to do this as an "speed" build... fat chance of that one happening. I wanted to do her on her wheels, but then remembered that the bottom rudder thing (whats it's correct name?) hinges to the side when it's on the ground. Whic
