Here we have the Me 262 & P-51B Combat Set by Revell (1:72 03711). I have (re)learnt a lot for my 2nd and 3rd builds after many many years away from the hobby. Lessons such as nose weights, how small decals are and how bloody fragile the gears/pros are! Next builds, I'll paint before assembly and attach the fragile bits and touch up AFTER main body is built, painted and decals applied! Unless I get impatient :) Anyway, hope you enjoyed reading my 2 threads while these were in progress and laughed or a had a chuckle at my 'oh bugger' moments of these 2 (Links below). "What's next?" I hear you say? Well, I have cracked open my DHC Beaver Vintage Classics Airfix 1:72 A03017V ... But I do also want to build my tank a King Tiger II Production Turret (Tamiya 1:35 3516)... Choices! Feel free to follow me, for some laughs :)

This is the first completed model this year. This aircraft was used in the 1950s at the time of the Trieste Crisis. Compared to the original model, I replaced the propeller, spinner and tail wheel, because for the aircraft used in the Yugoslav Air Force, those parts need to be replaced. Here are the pictures, enjoy.

Airfix Scale: 1/48 Type: Messerschmitt BF 109E-4/N Trop Extras used: None Paints and colours used: Tamiya paints (please see build thread), Flory Dark Dirt, Flory Sand Pigment, Alcald II Aqua Gloss, Tamiya Matt Ok this is the last one for today! Again, another I finished a little while ago but have only just got around to photographing. This was actually for last years Mediterranean theatre group build, which was great fun, and I did actually finish her just in time but failed to get her photographed... The lovely Airfix BF 109E-4/N Trop. In terms of detail it isn't a patch on the Eduard 109s, but still nicely detailed with reasonably restrained panel lines, reasonably well detailed cockpit, lovely decals and a simple, well fitting construction. The Eduard 109s are better, but at a reasonable price, this is a quick and fun, generally hassle free build. I chose to use Tamiya paints throughout even though they probably aren't quite as accurate colour wise as the Vallejos I have, as I am more confident to get the fine control needed for some areas of the camo patterns. A great fun build, and a recommended little kit. Many thanks, Val

If you have this 1/48th kit in the stash. And you would like a masterclass on how to build it. look no further..... http://www.modelersalliance.com/forum/chukw/147807-me410-all-the-way This build by Chuck W dates from 2009 - 2010. There may have been a link here before, But it bears looking at again. Amazing work. If you don't have the kit but want some resin guidance, have a look. The build does contain some offbeat humour. So the easily offended are advised not to go there. I found the link on Hyperscale.com. Pete
