  1. Dora Wings is working on new tool 1/48th Morane-Saulnier MS.405, 406 & 410 kits. - ref. DW48031 - Morane-Saulnier MS.406C-1 - Battle of France - released: https://dorawings.com/index.php?route=product%2Fproduct&product_id=130 - ref. DW48038 - Morane-Saulnier MS.405C-1 Source: https://www.facebook.com/DoraWings-1929101897320378/ Update V.P.
  2. Special Hobby is to release a 1/32nd Morane-Saulnier D-3801 (MS.406) - Swiss air force - Guardians of Sion - kit - ref. SH32035 Sion, the city in Switserland. Original kit was from Azur. Source: https://www.specialhobby.net/2025/03/boxart-pro-sh32035-d-3801-guardians-of.html Box art V.P.
  3. Hasegawa's 1/72 kit does have a moulded circle relief on the middle part that slide back. The new 1/48 kit from Dora Wings has nothing there, the whole roof of the canopy is transparent. Peewit mask sets does have small circles, suggesting that the circle should be transparent, but with a painted edge. It's hard to find photos that show clearly that part of the aircraft, but in some photos, there seems to be something, perhaps a round mirror, then that circle would be the stand where the mirror is attached to. I don't know what to do, should I paint that section, or use the mask. The only drawings that I have access to (some French publication) suggests that it was painted metal, not transparent.
  4. I have the "Middle East" Hobby 2000 re-box of Hasegawa's 1/72 MS.406, and next week will get RS Models' "Vichy" boxing. Both have a scheme from GC 1/7, Syria, July 1941. Colour call-outs for the RS kit has the nose and tail in plain yellow. If I have understood correctly, after the armistice they were first painted in yellow, the red stripes were added later. But on the Hobby 2000 kit callouts, the nose and and tail section is yellow as well, but there are red stripes on the horizontal stabilizers. So just the horizontal stabilizers, but not on the vertical stabilizer. https://www.scalemates.com/products/img/7/7/3/1318773-71-instructions.pdf Is this just a mistake in the instructions? Or did this kind of variation exist?
  5. Here's mine for now. I have to get it in there. As my bench slowly clears I can add new builds. There are a couple on deck already, so this is a placeholder. The is the kit... And this is the profile. Nice paint job! Looks like at least two aircraft cobbled together... --John

  7. I had a couple of builds in the MTO GB that never got finished. I'll continue them here in the hope they'll be done one day. They represent opposing forces from the extreme ends of WW2, a French aircraft in Tunisia on 1 Sep 1939 and an Italian Republican aircraft damaged beyond repair after tangling with P-47Ds of the US 65 Fighter Squadron in April 1945. The French one, an MS.406: Andy's French Build The Italian job, a Bf 109K-4: Andy's Italian Build I finished but never photographed two Med based Dewoitines, so when these are done I'll go mad in RFI Andy
  8. Hobby 2000 from Poland is to rebox the Hasegawa (vintage! 1993...) 1/72nd Morane MS.406 kit under ref. 72031 Sources: http://ksmodel.pl/sklep/szczegoly/hobby-2000-72031-morane-saulnier-ms-406-1939-1940-limited-edition-1-72-22410/ https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/H2K72031 V.P.
  9. I finished this model the other day, so it's time for me to introduce it. Old Heller's model, but it's still pretty to me. Here's the picture . Enjoy.
  10. AZmodel is to release two 1/72nd Morane-Saulnier MS.406 C1 boxings - ref. AZ7528 & AZ7529 Source: http://azmodel.cz/avizo/AVIZOAZ-EN-0416.pdf V.P.
  11. For my second build I will be doing the Azur Morane-Saulnier MS.406C from the "Battle of France" boxing: In the box are the same parts as included in the other Azur releases of the MS.406/410: ...but with decals and paintschemes specific to Armee de l'Air machines from the period up to late June 1940: I will be building "Camo D" - Azur describe this as being an aircraft of the 3me Escadrille of Groupe de Chasse II/2, but the Colorado Decals set for the MS.406 has the same aircraft with a white "2" in a red disc and says it is from the 4me Escadrille... I have no idea who is correct so unless someone can correct me I will go with the kit description as it is the more recent of the two. Cheers, Stew
