Hi all. I finished this one over the weekend. Although getting on a bit the Tamiya Mustang is still a great model to build. The only thing I don't like about the kit is the separate canopy glass and lower canopy frame. A false start with Alclad paints saw it stripped and then hit with trusty Tamiya rattle can silver. The other metals shades are Alclad. This is the 1/48 Tamiya P-51D Mustang with Lifelike Decals, Eduard fabric seatbelt and Barracuda oval tread wheels and tires. Built as 44-151103 flown by Col. Dick Rowland, CO 348 FG Luzon, Phillipines, early 1945. Hope you like it. Mick

This is the "faulty" first edition Eduard kit. Not a new model, my dad built it back in 2015 shortly after Eduard released the kit and I´ve posted it already here. Back then my dad used a too shallow oil cooler. Now he couldn´t look at it anymore and managed to get the cooler off without damaging the model and glue a new bigger one onto it. Lifelike decals were used. I picked up a couple of the Overtree boxings of Eduard's bubbletop Spitfire Mk.XVI kit, now I am hunting for decals. I found a couple of schemes on a LIfeLike sheet: I am keen on #1 and #4. Can anyone confirm if either/both of these aircraft are suited to the Eduard kit that I have on hand? I am also guessing that I'd be after a few sets of the 3 spoke wheels as well? Thanks!!!
