  1. I appear to be abandoning my military modelling roots and building rally cars. I originally built a Lancia 037 in a 7up scheme in the 80s group build and quickly followed up with a West scheme. I am back with another one, this time from the 1983 Tour de Corse I have very much gone all in on the 037 as I really like the kit and they came in many different schemes. I painted the shell and the main parts at the same time as I did some painting on my recent Metro 6r4 so this build should go together reasonably quickly. The white is Tamiya lacquer primer as I cannot get any other white to work properly with a couple of coats of Vallejo gloss acrylic varnish. This is the first time I have used this varnish and so far it seems ok
  2. I'll be soon-ish joining the GB with this iconic RWD Lancia, the last and maybe the only true non-4WD supercar of the Group B era. TBC...
  3. Having almost cleared one model of the bench it is time for the next to take its place. I have selected the Lancia 037 with 7up decals because I like the ugliness of the Lancia and the 7up decals are a bit different to the classic Martini scheme. I used Rejimodel decals on my last build and found them a dream to use but looking at these for the first time I am not sure they will work as well, the black looks a bit clumsy, like they are out of register a bit. It is really noticeable on the Michelin decals. Hopefully they will go on ok, if not I will be changing scheme…. i am also going to use a photoetch set which is also from Rejimodel. I will definitely use it for the grills but might leave some bits off if I don’t think they improve things much. The kit I am using is the Hasegawa Chardonnet offering (number 20264)
  4. Giddey to all! Here is my first build of the Lancia 037 Rally - my favorite rally car! This is the first version, the other is the evoluzione type (the later version) All comments welcome as usual, especially if you can suggest something I can do better! Hope you like it! Chhers Andreas

  6. Giddey to all! The Lancia 037 is the best RWD rally car ever built! Lancia was one of the most innovative car companies. I am a Lancia fan, and it is really a sad story what happened to them. Chrysler and Fiat smashed the label. Here some pic`s of my second build Lancia 037, the late "evoluzione" version. More Info about this car? look: https://www.girardo.com/car/1984-lancia-037-rally-evo-2-group-b-2/ Want to see them all together in action? Klick here: https://youtu.be/mXgWWNJVdYA thanks for looking! Regards Andreas
  7. Maybe a silly question, but any experts out there who can advise which colour white would be best for a Lancia Rallye 037, circa 1984? Hasegawa suggest good old Gunze H2, but I'm hoping I can get a bit closer than that, maybe a close Fiat match in Halfrauds? Thanks..
