  1. My first entry into this Blitzbuild is this pair of Parkside LNER Fish Wagons. The originals were built in the late 1930;s to handled the considerable fish traffic from East Coast ports to London. here is the sprue shot My Blitzbuild clock is an Excel spreadsheet Work was fairly quick and the basic box went together with ease at that point a meal of Sea Bass and Asparagus called so with one hour on the clock. I commenced work after the eating and washing up, and by close of play the majority of the construction had been completed. All that is left are the brakes and buffers. The reason for leaving these off at this stage is that I want to give this a coat of primer. This brakes have to go on after the wheels and I want to avoid getting paint on the wheel. So the "clock" at close of play.
  2. After overindulging in GB's over the last two years I set myself a rule for 2021, that I would only build items for my "Exercise Meteor" project. Apart from an Airfix B-17 all the aircraft required for the project have been build, I have plenty of lorries etc, so I thought what could I enter for this GB? The answer is this: The current price of this kit remains under £10 but as you can see I paid £3.00 for this. The railway element of Exercise Meteor will require six signals, so this will be a start. Due to the overall work required on the layout this It will be a slow build but should be completed within the timeframe of the GB>
  3. Hi all this is my first railway related post. I have just gloss varnished one of my Hornby A4's 4903 Peregrine in the gorgeous LNER blue livery. She might be a railroad loco but she looks the business. I have swapped out the motion set for finer super detail versions and Glossed her up so she looks to me more "real" like shes made out of metal. I am very happy with how she now looks and thought I would share her with you. I hope you like her. Here she is outside curing off in the afternoon sun. Cheers Rob So there she is thanks for looking. Rob
