I'm pretty much settled in to my new apartment in Seattle, and now have a bench and everything - even my first spray booth: So it's time for a triple, all associated with the 303 'Kosciuszko' Sqn in some way: 1. Arma Hobby 1/72 Hurricane Mk I, L2099, RF-O flown by Witold Lokuciewski during two of his Battle of Britain victories 2. Airfix 1/72 Spitfire Vc, AB509, JMC flown by Wing Commander Johnny Checketts of 142 Wing (303 Sqn and 402 Sqn) on D-Day 3. Arma Hobby 1/72 Mustang III, HB866, JZ flown by Jan Zumbach, a former 303 Sqn member, when he became commander of 133 Wing Some handy references: Some preliminary work on the Spitfire; filled the inside of the cannon blisters with superglue as they'll need to be sanded off and replaced with narrow ones from an AZ Joy Pack Mk IX. And interior paint started on the Mustang: And away we go!

I have Just completed My last Aircraft Honoring the Kosciuszko Squadron Flyers. This was the 1/48 Eduard/Academy Mig-29 UB in Polish Markings I need to thank Polish AF US Liaison Budniak Karol for all his support in correct colors of Mig-29. The decals are from ModelMaker ,a Polish decal company and they were fantastic. Below are two Aircraft with 100 years of separation tied in by the pilot, American Major Cedric Fauntleroy. The Albatross is the markings of Major Fauntleroy in 1920 and the 2020 Mig-29 has the pilots image on the inside of the the tails. Both aircraft sport the Kosciuszko Squadron Emblem designed by an American flier Elliot Chess during the Polish/Bolshevik conflict in 1920. Major Fauntleroy was the Kosciuszko Squadron commander during the conflict. I was trying complete the Mig-29 in 2020 but I did not receive the decals until December. I added the Eduard F.O.D covers just to add a Little color.The kit was loaded with Photo-etched parts,Resin seats and I added Resin Exhaust set. Notice the two different photos in the tail area, one in flying gear and one formal uniform. Thanks for Looking Comments are always welcome Regards Bill

ORP General Tadeusz Kościuszko Kagero Top Drawings No. 65 ORP General Tadeusz Kościuszko, the former USS Wadsworth (FFG-9), is one of two Oliver Hazard Perry-class guided-missile frigates in the Polish Navy. She is named for Tadeusz Kościuszko, an American Revolutionary War hero and hero of Poland's struggle for independence. General Tadeusz Kościuszko is home-ported in Gdynia Oksywie, and has participated in numerous NATO exercises in the Baltic Sea. Ordered from Todd Pacific Shipyards, Los Angeles Division, San Pedro, California on 27 February 1976 as part of the FY75 program, Wadsworth, was laid down on 13 July 1977, launched on 29 July 1978, and commissioned on 28 February 1980. Decommissioned on 28 June 2002, Wadsworth was handed over to Poland the same day, to become the second ex-Oliver Hazard Perry class in the Polish Navy inventory, the former USS Clark having been handed over in March 2000. This is the latest book from Kagero in their Top Drawing series, and like the previous books it has a brief history and the ships specifications at the beginning. The rest of the eighteen pages are filled with beautifully drawn diagrams of almost every piece of equipment on the ship. Unusually for this series there aren’t any drawings of the hull, the largest section being covered is the superstructure. Also not seen before are a series of photographs of the actual ship covering eight pages which give a different dimension to the book as they are great not only for detail but also for the colour scheme and even more importantly for the modeller, weathering. Also included are A2 foldout sheets, the first of which has a three view line drawing of the complete ship on one side, the other side containing similar views, but in full colour as she was in 2018. The second sheet also contains three view line drawings of the ship, but as she was in 2015, and it’s very interesting comparing the two sheets seeing what change in her last refit. The opposite side of sheet 2 also contain line drawings of the ship, the top drawing of the hull only, the next, top down view of the hull, but also showing the internal spaces of he first level of the superstructure. The bottom drawing is a waterline drawing with annotations for the majority of the equipment visible above the main deck. Conclusion This is another superb book in the series and I particularly like the use of the photographs as they are a great help to the modeller. The pullout sheets are also wonderful to see, especially the changes between 2015 and 2018. This is certainly a very useful book for all modellers who would like a slightly different Perry class ship in their collection. Review sample courtesy of

I purchased a couple of Caracal 1/72 sheets earlier in the year & like many who most likely have attended RIAT and some overseas shows over the past few years, I have wanted to build at least one. Now that I've finished a couple of long term WW2 builds, it is time to explore a faster, noisier and much more modern subject. These are a few of my pics of Red 56 from RIAT 2015 The only aftermarket i'll be using will be the Caracal decal sheets. The main undercarriage legs look a little iffy and I would have liked to obtain the SAC replacement legs, but that would cost me another £28.00 just for some little bits of metal, so I will drill out and reinforce the existing main legs with brass rod. Title edit alert!!! It seems that this Heroes thing is rather popular and everyone is doing the same thing, especially Red 56. I've decided that my "UB" version will be the twin seat Slovak Tiger as seen at a few air shows since 2008. Coincidentally it can be added to my slowly expanding collection of Tiger Meet aircraft. Was, or is there a Tiger Meet group build, also is there a Tiger Meet S.I.G.? If anyone can tell me which year this scheme originated I would be gratefull! I have ordered a Kopro sheet which represents this airframe. Cheers everybody Martin
