Hello All, this is the 1/72 Arma Hobby Hurricane Mk IIc built from their Mk IIb/c Expert Set. I didn't use the kit etch as I managed to get the Eduard coloured etch for the cockpit really cheaply at a show. It doesn't really need anything more than just seat belts and an instrument panel if you opt to display the canopy open (you get two separate sliding canopies in the kit for open or closed options). The fit is superb throughout with just a tiny bit of filler needed at the join between the front of the upper wins and the fuselage. There is no filler used anywhere else on this model.
Lower colour is Mr Hobby's Medium Sea Grey with Tamiya Ocean Grey and Mr Hobby C361 RAF Green uppers. The green was freehanded over the ocean grey; all colours over a back base marbled with white. The kit stencil decals were used with the national roundels and the serials from the Max Decals 72002 set. These were exceptionally fragile and needed decal film to make them useable in any way at all as otherwise the just shattered. The underwing tricolour stripes are airbrushed. Unfortunately there is some silvering of the kit and Max decals despite laying them down over a very glossy finish and using Micro Set and Sol. Hey-ho.
The Arma Hobby kit is very, very impressive and I look forward to having a bash at one or more of their other kits.
