  1. G'day All This was a thoroughly enjoyable build, the fit for the most part being excellent, although the fuselage centreline seam was quite stubborn to get rid of, followed by all the replacement of the lost detail, which would have needed doing regardless, the rivets tending too fade out towards the centreline. The only weaknesses of the model were the silly engineering that has you install the landing gear early on, and the exaggerated fabric effect on the ailerons, which I corrected by spraying several coats of primer, before sanding. Markings aside from the nose art were sprayed on through masks . The nose art came from ASK RAAF Mitchell's Part 2. For my money, the HKM Mitchell renders the old Monogram kit obsolete. I cant wait for them to released the solid nose versions in 48 scale. Eduard wheels and karaya metal gun barrels were used on the build. It represents a machine of 2 SQN Royal Australian Air Force 1944 Regards Bruce
  2. Announced (sort of) on their FB page. https://www.facebook.com/Hong-Kong-Models-Co-Ltd-1375731456009809/timeline/ Cheers, Andrew
  3. So, a giant box arrived on my doorstep yesterday. Though it says B-17G it's something a tad bit different. This is my test shot copy of HK's forthcoming B-17F. I'll be building this one for an upcoming Model Aircraft article. I'll also be running the first WIP of sorts of this kit here for you. Though I can't show everything what I will do is highlight some of the features of the new kit as well as share some intermediary pics of progress here and there. I'm currently wrapping up the Dornier Do335A kit, and will be moving into this one throwing the full Eduard assortment at it (using as much of the G stuff that is common as possible). Please stay tuned! Many thanks to Neil Yan and HK Models and James Hatch and Large Scale Modeller for making this one possible!
