Years ago, the Hawkeye Designs 1/72 Me-109G-10 was considered by some as the definitive Me-109 kit in that scale. I have little interest in the 109 so I can't comment on the accuracy of the kit. I don't build 109's so take it easy on me. This project was begun so long ago that I have only a film record of the beginning. I thought this multi-media kit would be an interesting challenge. This project is one of those plagued by mistakes and misfortune, many repairs of broken parts, lost parts, bad paint job, splashed with CA, badly warped wings when left in a hot car, and more. The model was stored for a long time. I am determined to finish the model, hopefully with good luck. Don

Hi all This time I propose to follow a build of the E-2C Hawkeye from Hasegawa at 1/72 scale The Grumman E-2C is a iconic plane for the 70 area like the F-14 Tomcat frequently associeted to it But if the Tomcat is now out of service, the E-2C always fly and is the "eye of the fleet" I started this buils several weeks ago but I really start the paint job only this week because I must wait that my F-104 dry I start with this kit Initially, I wanted to use a decals sheet with a plane with a "stars and stripes" flag on the nose. But this sheet is now unavable I decided to make the artbox scheme who is attractive. For this, I make a mask for the bird on the radome radar. This week I attacked the cockpit paint The Hasegawa cockpit is very well detailled for the scale It need only a good job paint and the add of the seatbelts I paint the two screen on the central consol with a drop of transparent green from AK For the dashboard, I made a mask with a Silhouette printer after to have scanne the decals sheet After I painted in black the dashboard, masked the panels instrument and spray the grey One drybrush later and some buttons in red, the dashboard finished On a E-2C there are buttons all around the cockpit even on the ceilling Like I wish a clean interior, I decided to paint the interior of the transparent piece I made the mask for this job and paint the upper console Like my Silhouette printer is warm, I decided to make the propeller mask Hasegawa give the white and aluminium part of the blade in decals I scanned it and made a new mask.

This is another kit I recently finished. It is the well known Kinetic Hawkeye. It is the first in a serie dedicated to the Gulf of Sidra incident on 17 August 1981. Two Libyan Fitters were shot down by two Tomcats from VF-41. The interception was coordinated by a Hawkeye from VAW-124 Bear Aces. There are no decals available of VAW-124 during this period on board the USS Nimitz so I had to make some myself. This is the first in a serie dedicated to this incident. Next are the Libyan Fitter, already on the bench, the VF-41 Tomcat, a Corsair II and a Sea King. Almost forgot, and the Trumpeter 1/350 Nimitz... Hope you like.

I will be building the Fujimi E-2C hawkeye. this is an older version of the kit, and that means quite simple landing gear and one piece propellers box and kit: Sprues: Loose parts: I was allowed to use a vacform canopy as the original had an air bubble in it. Decals. This is a special bye bye Midway box hence the larger sheet, sadly most options are for E-2B and will require some conversion AFAIK: Cant wait to get started

Good evening, I like to show you the result of a quick build. It's the very good Revell-Kit. I built it OOB, with kit decals (which are very good, by the way!). Work was absolutely hassle-free, almost no filler needed. Paint used was Modelmaster Light gull grey and revell aqua antrazit. Then, after a coat of clear, a fine washing and the decals. Walkways are decals, too. Anti-ice-gloves are brush painted with antrazit. Hope you like it! Alex
