  1. I have this crazy idea of making the drag chute for the 1/72 Victor. Does this sound crazy and is this a do-able project? How do I fabricate the chute? Any suggestions welcome.
  2. Hello all I have a 1:72 Handley page victor b1 matchbox conversion planned to start some time next year after my Canberra build. I have been looking online and racking my brain trying to find the dimensions of the pointy b1 tail cone dimensions needed for the b1 build. I have been unable to find anything about it, so I did the next thing I could think of and started to look at other aircraft parts that have the same or similar shape that I could potentially hack off and use as the tail. Unfortunately that didn't really work out as well so I am currently at a standstill. The Victor b1 in question that I want to replicate is Victor b1 XA922 but I need to find a person who has made that tail cone and has the dimensions still or find someone who can make me the piece needed if that's possible. I will be doing XA922 before she received the camouflage wing panels, so the XA922 i will modelling will be as my photograph I purchased of her flying sporting the full anti flash white paint with under wing serials and numbers with the type D roundels. Also would anyone happen to have anymore information on XA922 because all I can find is that she didn't enter into a raf squadron but was used at various places such as A&AEE, RAE Farnborough and from my little book lastly at Handley page Radlett. Thanks in advance Ryan amateur modeller.
  3. I recently finished my Mikromir 1/144 Handley Page Victor B.1, painted as XA940, here are the photos The next images are unfiltered, but the filtered versions are closer to the real colour of the paint. And this is the real XA940
  4. Now this is something I have just not gotten around to posting up in RFI, I built this a few months ago and the other day I broke the IFR probe, repairing it prompted me to post this finally. So, here is my Airfix Handley Page Victor B.2R (Blue Steel carrier). Weathered moderately, the V Force may have once been the pride of the RAF but I very much doubt they were paintshop shiny new every day. This model was difficult to photograph well due to the size, I hope I have done it well enough. I will replace that nose probe when I build my next Victor (beginning of 2020 hopefully!) as a very early example of the B2, before IFR probes were added. Information people have on Victors of this era would be much appreciated. Victor B2 as a Victor B1 takes off in the background. Someone with better Photoshop skills than me should attempt to Photoshop this into an airfield.... XL512 from one of the angles from which the Victor looks best in my opinion. From this angle, the aircraft has such a very powerful look. Truely one of the most beautiful aircraft ever built. Hopefully the next build will be of better quality, I have learnt a lot since I built this one.
