I'm really not sure what category to put this in , but it is a civilian vehicle of sorts... Earlier this month I attended a railway modelling show near Maidenhead and managed to pick up an interesting kit: The box says this is HO scale which makes it 1:87 and it struck me as being something nicely unusual, particularly as my model club has a special competition in March for models that fall into the "miscellaneous" class, ie its not an aircraft, military or civilian vehicle, figure, ship, diorama or sci-fi. I have just repainted my Airfix Waterloo French Infantry as grenadiers. I know they're not 100% accurate, but they fill a need at this time. Here are just one of each pose. The set will be allocated to various regiments in due course.

AIRFIX HO/OO Village Church Howdy folks - this is my first venture into the diorama region of the forum. I have recently been having a massive amount of fun in the Airfix: The Golden Years GB… https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/forum/626-airfix-the-golden-years-gb/ …however I know a lot of folk don’t tend to look at the group builds – unless it is of special interest to their ‘field of expertise’. The GB is covering all aspects of ‘old Airfix’ which includes a lot of buildings and the like – so – I thought I would pop some finished items here,

My build of the Airfix HO/OO Signal Box (03610-0) Apparently, the Oakham signal box was the subject of the Airfix kit although having looked at photos of the real thing there were quite a few differences in the detail and it may well be that the Airfix kit is an amalgam of different boxes. Having said that, I still used the paper Oakham name boards that came with the kit, although on the board above the levers, I put "Buggleskelly" in tribute to Will Hay and "Oh, Mr Porter!".
