Hello All, is there any one out there with any ideas? I recently bought some new Xtracrylix paints, and decided to get some new thinners too as my old thinners is old, like ten years old. Into the airbrush with the thinner, add a little paint with a pintbrush and stir... and it wouldn't spray. I know Xtracrylix can be 'challenging', but I have never had problems with its own thinners. The paint had gone gloopy and the pigments had started to separate out.
Airbrush duly stripped and cleaned and a second try, with the same paint and the old thinner. No problems at all, the usual nice semi-gloss finish.
Is any one aware if Hannants have changed the recipe for their thinners as the new and old smell very different.
