  1. Not sure if this should better be placed in the Armour or the Figures Section... I shortly received my 1/4 Scale Motoko Kusanagi Resin Figure (The one based on the Artwork of the original 1995 Ghost in the Shell Movie Poster) from E2046. The Overall-Detail Level is ok (considering that this is just a recast of a Vinyl-Figure). The Figure comes with a small Machine-Gun that for sure has some room for improvement, especially the barrel looks pretty ugly. Scrolling through the www i could not find something suitable from one of the many manufacturers of metal gun barrels for model kit tanks..... Anybody here having an idea, were to find something suitable? Pls see picture below. The barrelt of the kit is about 2 cm long and has 3-4 mm diameter. As this is Sci-Fi anyhow it does not need to be accurate under any aspec. Just needs to look cool;-). For reference there is a 1/72 Upgrade Barrel from Aber Models on the picture. ....Not too bad, but i think there are better options.
  2. Now i have a special. It ist a model in 1/24 from the series „Ghost in the Shell“. Concrete from the serie „Ghost in The Shell: S.A.C. 2nd GIG“. It isto long and to mutch to elaborate on that here, and my english is not good enought for this. But you can all infos found in the WWW. This model is from Wave and i had lucky to got it for a good preis. The man is Batou, a verry important person at the series. He is wearing a Combat uniform. The Roboter is a „Tank“, but with higher KI, it's a Uchikoma. It can walk, drive, jump.... and also a human can in the box at the backside ride along respectively command. It have in the arms guns and one cannon. So, I can many more say, but let it go. The model is movable and was verry easy to build. Colours are from MRP. The figure is coloured with a brush and Colours from Valejo Model Color.
  3. Hey Guys! Quite a while ago i purchased a Resin Spider Tank Kit from the original Ghost in the shell Anime Movie on Ebay. Pretty crappy kit, just to mention. The Scale is undefined but as the completed Tank is supposed to be around 10 cm high i would guess it is around 1/35. Does anybody here have an idea, were to get a Figure from "The Major" that suits to this Kit? Best case in a pose to reproduce the "Major vs Spider Tank" Scene from the End of the Movie?
  4. I started working on T08A2 / R3000 spider tank from Ghost In The Shell movie a year ago. For those who haven't seen the movie - I would highly recommend, it's one of the best sci-fi anime movies. Scale 1:20 (roughly ) One of the biggest problems that I had from the start was non existence of blue prints, or actually anything that would be close to that. That's why scale is approximate So for "blueprints" I ended up with a few things: Screenshots from the movie Smaller resin model from ebay, which isn't proper quality Someone actually made a model from that kit on this forum: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/2214-spider-tank-r-3000/page-3?hl=gits Someone made a 3D digital model, which I managed to aquire. It isn't very accurate, I would say it follows movie almost... So yeah, none of these were precise. Actually, even frames from the movie sometimes contradict itself. To make matters worse I wanted to make a model which could move, so following sizes and strength of mechanical components had to be taken into consideration as well... Initial idea was to make the shell from a styrofoam, but during last year I bought a 3D printer, which came very handy when making these complex shapes.
