Hi all, First timer here! After lurking here for a long time I've finally decided to post a RFI of a build that I'm pretty happy with. 🫡 It's an OOB IBG 1/72 Focke-Wulf 190 D-9, painted in a RLM 76/81/82 scheme. The kit does go together pretty well, although I've had some moments with ot that left me pretty frustrated and in need of a break... It was my first time building this model and I'm not that experienced, so I'd guess that these were my errors, which luckily I've managed to mostly resolve 😄. It's all painted by brush, using mainly Vallejo and Hataka Blue paints, which go down really well. The mottling, as well as most of the (non-visible to the camera, but it's there I swear!) shading was done with oil paints. I've wanted to go for a slightly used and dirty, but not heavily chipped look. Hope you like it, I'd appreciate any and all criticism or tips for future builds! 😊

Yes, it's those candy-striped "please don't shoot at me!" undersides again. This scheme was included in some of the many reissues of this kit over the years. This is mine: All parts present and correct. To quote Neil Young "... it's old, but it's good". My memories of first building this kit all of 40 years ago is that it's a trouble-free build. I will be building this wheels up, and without the drop tank, for a completely "clean" configuration, I doubt the typical mission profile for the Wurger Staffel required a drop tank anyway. It's shown as not being fitted on the cover art of the Eduard 1/48 kit, for what it's worth. For some reason I don't have a photograph of the decal sheet, so I'd better take that before I start cutting it up.

Hi Guys, As probably some of you, I have some models build several years ago .. 15/ 20 years ? who remember ?? 😁. So let me share with you my " Antiques" . Here is one of my fav planes, FW 190-D. In terms of Luftwaffe camouflages, last year of the war in Europe is a very interesting period for me. there were "regulations" and also , frequently the use of " whatever you have in stock" for painting aircrafts at that time, with many parts build by german " cottage industry". My 190-D is based on Japo Fw 190 D camouflage & markings Part 1 book description . Painted if I remember with Gunze paints. lacks the antenna wiring 🤭 and I left the Tamiya wheel wells as they where ( which is not adequate for this model )What a lazy man I am 😆 I added an AB 250 dispenser bomb , Fw 190-D9 of JG 6 ( as many others) were frequently used for ground attack missions trying to stop Russian troops going forward into Germany . The pics Hope you'll like it Thanks for seeing !

Here are the photos of my completed Fw 190D-9 in 1:48 from Tamiya. A kit that is buildable, but with some fit issues in the wings and fuselage. There're better alternatives to it though, in the shape if the Hobby Boss Dora family. That's all for now! Next model will be Italeri's 1:48 Mirage V Dagger. It has already been started, I drilled holes on the main landing gear struts to add metallic clips. This will hopefully improve the stability of the gear.

This is my Hobby Boss 1/48 FW 190 D9, a nice kit and relatively trouble free build, I managed to keep the canopy moveable and the rigging wire drops down when opened which is a nice touch. Finished in MRP and Mr Color Lacquers and weathered with oils and pigments. Eduard belts and brass tubing for gun barrels were added.

Hi Perhaps this is my last post in 2014 - if I will not be ready to post my most recent model... Again - from archive shelvs. The Focke-Wulf 190 story. I have only three models made as yet (and two in stash): Fw 190 A5 by Hasegawa ("old mould" - from 1970s.), Fw 190 D9 by Hasagawa and Ta 152 H1 by Frog (a bit upgrated). In stash I have two radial Fw 190: initial A2 (AZ) and F8 (Revell). One day I hope to do them....The Fw 190 A5 was repainted in 1998 , originally it was done in 1977 OOB. Now the A5 is in markings of lt. Rolf Strohal, I/JG 1, Deelen, Netherlands, 1942-3 - profile from book M.Murawski, Obrona Powietrzna III Rzeszy (Home defence of III Reich), vol. III, AJ Press, Warsaw 1998. The D9 is in markings of II/JG 6, Halle, Germany, - May 1945 (fuselage RLM 81/82, wings RLM76/82) - the profile is in book: R.Michulec, Luftwaffe 1935-45, vol. IV, AJ Press, Warsaw 1997. Ta 152 H1 is in markings of J.Keil, JG 301, Germany 1945 - profile from T.Poruba, A.Janda, "Fw 190 D & Ta 152", JaPo press, Hradec Kralove (year is not given in book!), Czech Rep. The upgrades of Ta 152 are mainly with front cooler (scratch, completly new). I have notes, that I have used some parts from a Revell kit (for example canopy. What more? - I do not remember). I made them all in 1997-98. Fw 190 A5 (individual decals home made): Fw 190 D9: Ta 152 H1: Thank you for watching Comments welcomed Have a Happy New Year! Jerzy-Wojtek
