  1. Earlier this month I went to the Argentina Vuela 2022 at BAM Morón. The air show lasted between 13 and 14 August of this year. There were several aircraft in exhibition, plus an air show performed by the Fuerza Aérea Argentina. Here are the photos of said show: Beechcraft 200 1-F-43: Beechcraft T-45 Mentor(s): Battle worn Douglas A-4C: Bristol 170 Mk.I LV-AYC (TC-330): C-130H: Austral Líneas Aéreas MD-81 LV-WFN (MD-81 with the most flown hours in the world): Avro Lincoln B-004. Currently the MNA is gathering money to carry out a restoration of the aircraft: S-2T Turbo Tracker 2-AS-23: Westland Sea King 43 SAAB 340 TC-32: Beechcraft B-45 Mentors of the Escuadrilla Histórica: Mirage IIIEA I-007: Drone with the A-4AR C-927 in the background: Mig 15UTI LV-X216: EMB 314 Tucano:
  2. I was actually saving for the Tamiya P-47 in order to test my new Mr. Mark Softer on their decals, but this one showed up cheaply from a known Facebook seller. The seller warned me before paying him, that the kit was unbagged and with the decal sheet cut in half (but in top shape). Hopefully everything will be there. For now, I'll be posting photos of the boxart from the Internet, a single photo of the IRL aircraft, and some profiles of similar aircraft. Here you can see 431 after the War. It had the yellow ID markings on the tail. As other Daggers had yellow ID bands on the wings, and this one doesn't show the upper surfaces, it's safe to assume 431 also had the yellow bands on the upper surfaces of the wings. A profile from the Mirage IIIEA/Dagger from Kinetic. I'll guide myself with their instructions for the yellow bands. C-437, with the same yellow configuration on the tail and yellow bands. Here you can see 431's brother, 432. It was exhibited in the Museo Nacional de Aeronáutica in Buenos Aires. As of 2022, it's been removed from the hangar to undergo restoration works. Also, a profile from Dagger C-430 with turquoise bands. And finally, the boxart (taken from the Internet): I also have posted a wip thread for Tamiya's Fw 190D-9 in 1:48. I don't know which one to build when my holidays arrive.
  3. I finally decided to get the old Special Hobby Pucará. I originally had built this kit when it had been reboxed by Airfix in 2008. I was 12, and I can't remember the way it looked. Now that I'm 13 years older and with much more experience, I went ahead and bough the kit. Included are resin parts for the seats, exhausts and the propeller hubs, photoetch parts, and a small film sheet for the instrument panel. Special Hobby included decals for Uruguayan and Venezuelan machines, but I'll be using the ones provided by Dukel Hobbies. Now I'm facing the dilemma of buying the single colour (Revell 75 Stone Grey) I need for a camouflaged machine, or just go for the NMF plane. Box: Sprue shot 1: Sprue shot 2: Instruction sheet: Decals from Dukel Hobbies: Full colour painting guide (one scheme is shown, the other two are under the first sheet).
  4. Hello guys, Here are the photos of my most recent model, Italeri's Mirage IIIE transformed into an EA by using the empennage extension and leaving out the Cyrano radar bulge. The kit was brushpainted with Revell Aqua acrylics. I used Condor Decals set 48054.
  5. Hello guys, It's been a while since I posted anything. Today I bring you this A-4AR Fightinghawk of the Fuerza Aérea Argentina. It wears the scheme of the 100 years of the FAA.
  6. Here are two photos I took while I was going back to MDQ´s airport for my return trip to Buenos Aires. Translated from this link: First flown in England on April 4th 1948. Assigned to the 4th Interceptor-Fighter Regiment (Regimiento de Caza Interceptora) as I-073. Flight of acceptance in Argentina on September 19th 1949. Transferred to the 3rd Interceptor-Fighter group and re-registered as C-073. Discharged on December 30th 1970 due to flying hours limit, being the Gloster with most flight hours on the Air Force. It´s now a gate guardian on the entrance to the BAM MDQ with the fictional registration of I-071.
  7. Hi folks, this is the MB.339A flown by Teniente Owen Crippa on reconnaisance mission over San Carlos on 21st May 1982 when he damaged the HMS Argonaut. The Italeri kit was rescribed and Pavla resin cockpit and vacform canopy has been used. The complete build will be featured in my 'modelling manual' publication that is due soon. Cheers Libor
