Hello Dames and Gents, It is a looooong protracted project that finally reach the RFI today.... I bought this box in the '80s... Pretty basic in fact, but I already had an idea for that kit.... More recently, let's say 20 years ago, I found this.... Then, after a great help from Troy and Tony O'T It was time to mate these 2 kits..... So, let's get in my area, but in Fall 1939..... Between the 9th and 15th of September, the 87Squadron crossed the channel with Hurricanes MkI Forming the 60 Wing of the Air Component for the British Expeditionary forces.... The ones who used to know me are well aware of my interest for Roland Bee Beamont..... So, Here's my poor representation of Bee's Hurricane.... I'm not pretty satisfied but it has been a hard one to crack.... The resin wing was full of flawes and bubbles, metal parts were not in the kit and son on.... The old Airfix kit was not the easiest one, then I added a lot of details in it, making the things even worst..... But I finally got it.... Franken Hurri because there are parts from all origin.... Propeller is a white metal one but I forget the name of the brand There is a lot os scrath parts, or parts from the old KMC resin kit, Italeri Hurricane and even from the new mould Airfix Hurricane.... But I tried to save the best of parts from the original kit.... Where would be the fun ???? Beamont managed to bag an air victory on the 15th of May 1940 with this Hurricane But the bird has been upgraded at the time being.... The serial is my birth year... Funny enough.... Obviously not my best one, but I'm glad to add it to my collection.... Well, family pics are coming soon.... Sincerely. CC
