Lockdown time... Some free time for modelling. Yes I'm not only a rumourmonger but also a modeller. I went to my bench and had a look at the too numerous started and unfinished projects (Am I the only one ?) and for an undefinite reason I choosed that f. vintage OEZ 1/48th Sukhoi Su-7BKL/BMK "Fitter-A" - ref.02 I started assembling this kit years ago but was not really satisfied to say the least with the parts fitting, rather ironic for a Fitter but... This time I think it's ok. After a lot of sanding and rescribing, I finally initiated the painting works. Pre-shading

In 1972 the Sukhoi design bureau began work on another variant of the Su-17, it was known only by its in-house designation S-32MK "гибридный" or hybrid, this mated the wings of the Su-7BMK to the fuselage of the Su-17M. The aircraft first flew in February 1973 piloted by Vladimir Krechetov. The only known photo of the S-32MK to exist in the west, note the large bomb load able to be carried. Also note how the gun blast plates are still installed but the twin NR-30 cannons are not. The S-32MK's fuselage was taken from the new into production Su-17M, for the S-32MK the

Its been a while since I have posted an RFI (work, travel and children!), but here is the 1:48 KittyHawk SU-22M4 Fitter. Not a kit to cut your teeth on, but certainly not as bad as some of the online reviews would have you think. My biggest issues were: The multi-part fuselage (take your time and try not to introduce an error, ask me how I know!). Wing Fences needed a little bit of dry fitting, trimming and fettling (not that difficult). Pylon locations were indistinct and the instructions were vague and missing detail. Jet pipe was too long, easy enoug

Hello! Here is the other of two kits I completed this past weekend. It's Mark I Models' 1:144 scale Sukhoi Su-7BM "Fitter A" built as 5024, 28th Fighter Bomber Regiment (28. sbolp), Czechoslovak Air Force, at Caslav Air Base, in 1964. This kit was Attack's Su-7B repackaged by Mark I with resin parts added to make a nuclear-armed Su-7BM. Apart from the nuke itself, the resin parts included the fuselage spine ducts and a nose probe. The kit was built mostly OOB with only the missing wingtip probes and some main undercarriage arms added from stretched sprue as on the Su-7B. As with

Hello! Here is one of two kits I completed this past weekend. It's Attack's 1:144 scale Sukhoi Su-7B "Fitter A" built as "Red 29" of the Soviet tactical aviation (Frontovaya Aviatsiya), in the early 1960s. The kit was built mostly OOB with only the missing nose and wingtip probes and some main undercarriage arms added from stretched sprue. The thick wing guns were replaced by new ones from stretched sprue. The anti-glare panel was part of a decal from the other kit (Mark I's Su-7BM) which I cut to use as a guide to paint the whole thing since the gap for the windscreen was too narrow

So, I've finished it - more or less. It still needs figures, and I may still 'tweak' the weathering here and there. The first photos aren't great - the colour balance is a bit off, and I don't seem to be able to fix it - just like the Achzarit... What this probably means, is that I've got the colour right... IDF Sand Grey/Sinai Grey doesn't seem to photograph very well. I've just taken another, which is a bit better. That side-on shot, shows the 'down by the stern' trim - these vehicles all seem to 'sag' that way, so I 'fixed' the suspension so it did too.

Kovozávody Prostějov is to re-re-release in 2017, in its Premium Line, the classic OEZ/Smer 1/48th Su-7BKL and Su-17/-22M4 "Fitter" kits. Of particular interest is a two-seater variant Su-22UM-3K "Fitter-G", based on the OEZ Su-17, but with a new tool fuselage, resin part, PE and masks. As usual with Eduard's Photo-Etch (PE) and Mask sets, they arrive in a flat resealable package, with a white backing card protecting the contents and the instructions that are sandwiched between. Hi Guys, Here are my Su-7 Fitters from OEZ but reboxings from Smer and Eduard. Not very easy kits but very well build able. Added air scoops and ventilation louvres from Quickboost and resin ejection seats from Eduard. Armament is a mix from the kit and from a Eduard MiG-21. The Iraqi decals are from the Eduard box and the Algerian came of a decalset from Hi-Decal. ] Erik

This beauty arrived yesterday and with the best of intentions I want to finish another swing-winger first (Revell's 1/48 Tornado), but I know what I'm like and there's every chance I'll cave and start this sooner. I've always wanted to build an Su-17/22 so when the KH CAD shot appeared last year it was merely a waiting game! Im surprised there hasn't already been one started here, and the kits come in for quite a bit of stick online (so did Revell's Tornado mind you and mines been a pleasure so far!) so I'm looking forward to seeing if this really is that bad.

Su-7BKL "Fitter-A" 1:48 MisterCraft The Su-7 was a swept wing supersonic aircraft developed by the Sukhoi design bureau in the 1950's. Originally designed as a fighter it was not a great success, but would later find its role in bombing and ground attack. The Su-7BKL added a rough field capability to the BM which was itself an upgrade for the B model featuring an upgraded engine. In addition wet hard points under the wings were added, and the airframe made nuclear capable. The BKL also featured provision for JATO rockets. 267 were built and many were supplied to Soviet satellite states.

1/48 swing-wing Fitter could be next Avantgarde release after the Foxhound, Tomcat and Albatros. Unconfirmed speculation at local modelling discusions but here are some connections between the AMK and Czech modellers.
