While waiting for an injection windscreen for my Spitfire PR 11 I decided to make a start on my Hawker Typhoon FR.1b.
As with most aircraft it all starts with the cockpit. There is a lot of conjecture over the colour with black walls and aluminium framework seeming to be correct for a bubble top so I went with that.
As with all aircraft I build I used Eduards' cockpit zoom set to dress it up.
And here it is installed in the fuselage.
I built the car door type previously and forgot how bad the fit of the fuselage inserts was. I know Hasegawa did it so that they could minimise on the sprues but they could at least have designed the sides to fit better!
I cut out the forward area of the cockpit area sides as per the instructions but now have nowhere to install the gunsight!. Has anyone else done the same? How did you get round it?
Regards
Mick
