  1. #16/2022 So, here´s already my dad´s next model and third Texan for this year. This is the first edition of the good old Monogram kit, released in 1979. Decals came from FCM, rudder and nose ring are painted. Wings and horizontal tail surfaces painted with Gunze H14 Orange, the fuselage was done with AK Xtreme Metal White Aluminium. Eduard seatbelts, EZ line for the antenna wires. The landing light covers didn´t fit well, had to do some sanding, filling with CA glue and polishing. Build thread here https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235110835-tropical-cowboy148-north-american-at-6d-texan-força-aérea-brasileira/ Model shows an aircraft that served with 3/1 GAvCa, Esq. Pacau, Santa Cruz 1954. The FAB used trainers like this one but also armed versions (.30cal fuselage and wing guns and underwing racks for bombs and rockets) which wore a two-tone camo. 2. My dad´s next project, one of two Texans. Gonna use the good old Monogram kit which was first released in 1979. Decals come from FCM DSC_0003 by grimreaper110, auf Flickr DSC_0005 by grimreaper110, auf Flickr DSC_0006 by grimreaper110, auf Flickr DSC_0001 by grimreaper110, auf Flickr
  3. Hi! I started building this 1/32 109 G-2. I won´t use the kit decals. Instead, I got hold of a beautiful sheet from FCM Decals for Trautloft´s aircraft.
  4. As well as the Spitfire VB of another thread, I have been toying with this kit as well, so as a moment of madness I have ordered this kit from an online retailer. As I am a bit of a fan of South American air arms I will be doing a Brazilian machine from the 1970s using a decal sheet from FCM ordered from the Big H. The Invader is one of my favourite aircraft. Not a bad kit if I recall from Airfix? https://www.scalemates.com/kits/130190-airfix-591-invader https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/FCM72031
  5. Mirage 2000P Fuerza Aera del Peru ( 1/48 ESCI kit version with the corrected production fin) FCM decals Neomega resin cockpit Eduard PE and masks Master pitot l'Arsenal fuselage pylons, wing pylons, SAMP 250 bombs Kinetic 1700L tanks Revell Matra Magic IIs WIP here you go! from the fantastic Mirage group build, still running till Oct 29th.... first a clean one for the purists: and fully loaded thanks for any comments and suggestions! Cheers, Werner
  6. I present the Pj Productions boxing of the High Planes Mirage, the base kit was the MIrage 5 boxing and using the MIRSIP conversion set you can model the Chilean Air Force Elkan version, I used the FCM decal sheet 72-33 for the markings which went on really well much better than the recent Brazilian Air Force sheet I used. Alongside some of her South American delta wing brethren Anyway hope you enjoy Willy
  7. Finished today, from the Swig Wing Group Build, the Hobbyboss 1/48th F-14A Kit, with an Aires Cockpit and FCM Decals for the Sundowners. Painted with Gunze throughout - the build thread is available here Peter
  8. Well having won the vote, it's the Hobbyboss F-14A which will hopefully be better than the Hasegawa one i've fought to submission Adding to the mix is an Aires cockpit And FCM decals to make it an aircraft from a proper squadron - VF-111 (and NOT the CAG bird !) Work starts with the cockpit which surprisingly for Aires fit's quite well :-) You do have to take off a lot of the underside molding plug to get the wheel well in place - and remember to glue the wheel well in place before starting fitting A coat of Aircraft grey to start the painting, after some Black primer Then on with the Pit painting - still more work to do but getting there Peter
