Here's my first offering, and I apologize for the late start. I had business elsewhere on the continent in the post 2 weeks and have only just returned this morning. And the profile...This will be an NMF aircraft. I'll start in tonight, I hope. --John

Hello Britmodellers, As the title says, I have a question about Danish Thunderjets in camo, as I'd like to build one for an upcoming group build. The only images I managed to find were a few colour profiles and a decal instruction sheet. Not even a single photo. Does anyone have any reference material on camouflaged F-84s or was this practice limited to just a few odd machines? Thanks, Luka

Kit - Tamiya 1:48 Paint - AK Xtreme Metal lacquers, Xtracolour enamels & Tamiya acrylics Decals - Eagle Strike 48-215 Extras - Rockets & bombs from Revell kits. F-84G Thunderjet 79th FBS, 20th FBW RAF Weathersfield 1952-54 Bought before we left UK off eBay and it came with some parts for the Revell F-84 in the box. Along with the 1:48 F4D Skyray, in my opinion this is one of Tamiya's most overlooked aircraft kits, which is a shame as it's absolutely superb. I did make a start on it in 2011 then we came to NZ and it became resident on the 'Shelf of Forgetfulness'. Re-started about a month ago, finished with AK Xtreme Metals and (superb) Eagle Strike decals (48-215) a sheet released back in 2005. What you see here other than the rockets and bombs is precisely what comes in the Tamiya box. Please feel free to make any C & C's or ask any questions. Stay safe friends and all the best from NZ. Ian.

Well, we are here already! How time does fly! For my first build I will be using Heller's classic kit of the F84-G Thunderjet in 1/72nd scale. I notice that there are a few F84 builds in the GB already so this should be fun. I am not sure if it will be French or Norwegian at the moment, but I am leaning towards the Scandinavian side of things. Here's the box-top... The decals look good and are not yellowed. No stencils. The two profiles to choose from... And the sprue. Not too bad for basic detail, no flash to speak of. I'll be building OOB. I might add some cockpit detail if I am able. I'll jump in tomorrow morning! --John
