As I said in my other build thread, the Kinetic/Hypersonic NF-104A (together with a colourful option on the Caracal 'Test and Drone Zippers' sheet) inspired me to order the Hypersonic early F-104B/D conversion. It arrived incredibly quickly, so here we go. Here's what came in the box:
Very nicely done 3D-printed conversion parts including replacement fuselage panels, the downward-firing seats, replacement cockpit coamings, instrument panels and nice clear canopies. There's a comprehensive and detailed instruction booklet as well as a small set of vinyl masks to mark out where to cut the fuselage.
I'm planning to build this colourful example from the US Air Force Flight Test Center at Edwards AFB:
I've started on modifications to the kit parts. I'll get a bit more done and post another update tomorrow.
cheers
