Hi everyone, For the umpteenth time, I am entering this great kit in the KUTA. Even the kit is embarrassed to be dragged once more in front of everybody. Only today have I made any inroad on my Airfix GB Spitfire... less than 2 weeks before it finishes... No pressure. So advertising this Etendard is preposterous. But nothing will be started in 2025 until it is finished. OK, I've said it. Just a few photos to show that it is not far from completion: Anyway, there you have it. A superbly beautiful plane. So this model deserves to be finished. Not to mention that @JOCKNEY, who offered it to me eons ago, is now sending me threatening messages. Is that what the British call "peer pressure"? Enjoy your KUTAs. JR

Hi everyone, well I did not finish this Etendard IV M in the Heller GB that just ended. Not by a long shot. So I am carrying on and hopefully can finish it in the next few weeks. Here is the WIP to date: Here is the state of the build at this moment: The re-scribing is almost over and sometimes next week fuselage halves and wings can be glued together once I have dealt with some work on the exhaust area. The decals are a bit yellowed and are going to be stuck behind my shed window (when the sun returns, which may take a while!). The crest of the 59S Flotilla is a terribly poor representation and has to be trashed (Shame on you Heller!). I found a possible very nice replacement on an Alize decal sheet. Just need to check the size... So things are in motion... Talk to you soon with some progress. JR

Well, this model keeps coming back like a bad smell. It was kindly sent to me by @JOCKNEY two Christmas ago... It has already made two appearances on BM, and the worst of it is, that it is almost finished. Well, it would be finished if I knew what the acronym OOB meant... This is it: if I do not finish it this time I will go back to knitting. Here are a couple photos to show the advancement of this beautiful kit: Quite a bit of tidying up and some small details to add... That it is not yet finished is a disgrace! I will start it in the new year, when the other kits I am finishing will be on display. JR

Hello happy campers, the time is nigh when I will try once more to finish a model I should have finished long ago. I have to finish the Heller Etendard IV M, not only because I feel bad towards @JOCKNEY who kindly sent it to the middle of nowhere, but also because it is a beautiful plane, like all aircraft designed by Marcel Dassault. This is now personal. Here is the original build thread, for those who my be interested: Have fun! JR

Hi all, after those months of waiting, this keenly expected GB has finally arrived! I shall enter it with one of my favorite French Navy aircraft: the Etendard IV M. This beautiful kit is a Christmas present (with a few other gems) from our Scottish Father Christmas Pat, aka @JOCKNEY Here are a few photos of the box and sprues: All in all, it looks like a lovely kit! I have to finish my Me 109 for the BoB GB first and then try and make some serious progress on the Huey. But I am looking forward to this kit. It has been a long time since I last built a plane with a hook. Have fun! JR
