Hi everyone. Here is my first completion for 2018, a nice kit, although a little complex with a few fit issues, particularly around the engine nacelles and wing joints. This was a profipack edition so included a photo-etch and a masking set, (essential with all those windows). I also added Eduard resin wheels and a Master set of turned aerials, which I soldered together, a first for me. Painted with Xtracolor enamels and weathered with oils and pastel chalks. Thanks for looking, gazza l

On the 2"rd of November 43 while operating around the Gilbert islands Hellcats from the Lexington VF-16 jumped some fifteen Zeros from the 252Ku. In the ensuing melee nine Zeros were lost for one Hellcat. EV1 Eugene Hanks became an "Ace in one day" by shooting down five enemy planes. The model depicts his plane after he added 5 victories tallies on his F6F.

This was to be my entry into the MiG 21STGB but life and an Airspeed Oxford for the Training Types GB got in the way. Not my normal area of interest but my wife bought it for me knowing my liking of colourful aircraft. It is almost OOB but I used an Aerobonus pilot and seat and a brass pitot which was more bother than it is worth. Thanks for looking.

Howard Moon posted a topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Here is my first completed build for this year. It's the Eduard Profipack kit built OOB with the exception of some lead wire brake lines. Finished as Egon Mayer's aircraft which was one of the options in the kit. No real dramas with the build but lining up the cowling parts was tricky. Painted with my preferred choice of Gunze Aqueous Mr Color Look forward to your comments...
