  1. hello, this is my debut post here, thanks to my friend @vytautas who invited me to join this forum and couple month ago presented me this kit. So, this is old good Dragon plastic of this famous anti-tank gun Pak40 in 1/35, in the box under name of Das Werk. There is nothing new, except that instruction is color printed on glance paper. Even the instruction erratum done by Dragon is here. Anyway lets move to the inspection of how it looks like built by me. Enjoy it! Happy modelling/ Audrius
  2. Here she is. The pak38 auf gp.mun.schlepper from Daswerk. You can find the buildlog in the work in progress section. ( still don't know how to direct link it 😡 ) It was a fun little build. I struggled with the link and length tracks but the rest was a welcome breeze of fresh air after the StuGIII. In the end i didn't do a pinwash. Just some light streaking and a dustcoat. Anyway, here are the pictures for you to comment on. All feedback, tips etc. Are more then welcome as always! On to the next build. A KV2 from Zvesda. I'll keep you guys posted in the next buildlog. Cheers!!! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
  3. And now for something completly different..... I found this little kit from Das Werk in an online sale so i picked it up together with the Zvesda KV2. After spending hours planning, building and researching the RFM StuGIII i needed a bit of a breather.... something not to fancy so here she is.... i will call this one "my little tankie" ( Just because the full name sucks monkeyballs to type out everytime 🀣 ) Only 2 of them were build by Reihnmetal. The production process was slowed down so by the time the 2 prototypes were ready for field testing both the armor and the PAK38 gun were absolete so the project was abandoned. There is no known history of battle deployement. The boxart of this kit looks nice and the box itself is realy sturdy. Only 4 sprues in the box!!!! After the StuG this looks like heaven to me! 😁 This will be a fun little build. Since this was a prototype i think of doing it in a panzer grau. Keeping it simple and subtle. As always feel free to tag along, comment, shout, do whatever you want. I always enjoy the interaction with you guys! I'll keep you guys posted! Cheers!πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
  4. I hope this is allowed, i have been researching Panthers all week and felt i was taking the easy route with the Sotnikov Panther as my goal for this GB was always to depict a knocked out Panther. I changed my mind initially because the vehicle i was planning on had it's turret blown off and given the time limit i didn't think i had time to do such a complicated build the justice it deserved, i simply can't afford 60-70 pounds for a kit with full interior and so a lot of scratch building would have been necessary. So a compromise....i really want to do a knocked out Panther, i want the challenge of a cooked of vehicle and the paint and weathering that a project like that will involve. Now having taken the time to dig through all my photos books and online searches i have found the perfect subject....as many of you will know there are many many pictures of destroyed Panthers but few were cataloged and pictured from multiple angles leaving a lot of the vehicle subject to pure guesswork i don't mind that for the most part but for whatever reason i really wanted a subject i could get my teeth into and make as accurate as possible. And so i give you Ursula Ursula had a grim end (is there any other sort) but for Ursula it was more grim than most........ belonging to stab l/Pz.Rgt 6 and assigned to the Pz- Lehr Division in Normandy she and most of her company were knocked out Just north of Le Dezert on July 11th 1944 Ambushed by an M10 of the U.S 899th Tank Destroyer Battalion she took a shot through the left side sponson almost dead centre of the vehicle, this shot set of the magazine and would have killed the crew almost instantly, pretty standard end for a fighting vehicle your thinking. Well what make Ursula's end a little more disturbing was the fact she had tank riders on board as she was ambushed. I won't go into to much detail here but what the U.S engineers found when they came to retrieve the wreck was testament to the violence of her demise. I won't be modeling the dead on board Ursula (even i have limits) but as she was photographed from every conceivable angle and as grizzley as it is....... it is a history and not all history is happy it is also a very interesting subject as a vehicle. This is the only photo of Ursula i'm willing to post as the close up shots are a little much for a family friendly forum And i hope you enjoy my build.
  5. Hallo again This trailer is actually nothing special. I thought it will be just an easy build. Far away. The instruction is the most annoying paper I saw until today. From multiple numbering starting. Some parts are shown in a way, they do not look like at all. So you start looking for missing parts. You may drill one hole, 5 are possible, 5 marks to make a hole, but you do not know which one. Wrong instruction, concerning the position of hammerheads for the front ramp configuration. In the instruction 45Β° and look at the close up of the finished ramp! On and on… I tried to get in contact with DasWerk. The person told me, he built several trailers and all are fine. To my question about the wrong instruction, came no reply. In communication, if you ask a question, and somebody tells you stuff you never asked, hands off. I have to build the Faun truck too, but I prefer Takom or ReyField or Dragon or anything else. Look at my guide, I do this particular for every member of the forum, so that you can avoid any misery with kits from DasWerk. Happy modelling
